Pretty good doctor
Very knowledgeable. He is open minded and goes very far to find answers. He thinks outside of the box and never gives up on a challenging condition. However he runs his unit very strictly, patients are not allowed to leave their rooms, shower, or use a real toilet. He is old fashioned in terms of treatments. He is not very comforting and is not great at explaining things to people who are not medical professionals. I do think he is a wonderful PICU doctor however I feel he may be better fit in adults, where the patients can understand him and aren’t deeply affected by strange circumstances. In my personal opinion his positive traits outway the negative.

regarding my 2 year son
11/29/23 my son had a TNA surgery done we were admitted to west boca pi cu after his procedure and when he got in the picu room he was given medications due to his respiratory SATS going down which caused him to be intubated... he was intubated for 5 days, and my son coughed and extubated himself because of all the secretions and saliva. then suggests me to give my baby a Tracheotomy because he didn't have the patience for my baby healing process, and he also don't know how to speak to people. my foster mom came to see my son and he questioned her on how old she adopted me which I felt like he was racially profiling... this experience was very traumatizing. My son laid in that hospital bed for 8 days when the tube was finally removed, I asked Dr. Vardag can my son get up and move around, he told me my son can't walk on his unit which caused my son to have Venous Thrombosis.. Sorry to say that but Dr. Vardag is not meant to be a pediatric doctor my son is traumatize from the experience

Arrogant. Our toddler fell off of her bed and we rushed her to west boca hospital with a black eye. She had a hairline fracture and we transferred her via ambulance to delray medical center where she spent the nite. In order to be discharged, 3 doctors needed to sign off. Fortunately, one of our pediatricians who attended to her when she was born premature in the NICU at west Boca was one. Dr Vardag, whom I had never met before was the second. What an arrogant, insensitive buffoo

Dr. Vardag is in a league of his own in the field of Pediatric Critical/Intensive Care. He is an asset to West Boca Medical Center's pediatric care. None the less, he displays an exemplary regard to the parents and families to the patients he serves. His compassion and dedication is honorable.
