Dr. Anupama Duddempudi, MD

Dr. Anupama Duddempudi is an outstanding professional. She remembered the specifics of my previous visit and procedure. I appreciate her willingness to listen and patiently explain the options and procedures. As a woman, I truly appreciate the opportunity to discuss all aspects of my abdominal care. She is my go-to gastroenterologist and I’m blessed to be her patient.

Dr. Anupama Duddempudi was very pleasant, professional, and personable. She listened to my concerns, and actually had a conversation with me regarding my health, as opposed to talking “at” me, as has been my experience with other physicians. What’s more, she took the time to explain the series of tests I would need, and the reasons for each test. If this interaction were gauged on a 1-10 scale, Dr. Duddempudi would be a solid 10! Generally speaking, I do not enjoy going to the doctor, at all. In fact I would prefer to slam my head in the car door than see a doctor…not this time. I had a real sense of peace with Dr. Duddempudi and her staff.

Dr. Duddempudi was very patient and listened to all my history and concerns. She seemed extremely competent. I wouldn't hesitate to go to her again for any gastro related issue.

Dr. Anupama Duddempudi is great. I have had two procedures at Austin Gastroenterology, and Dr. Duddempudi and her team are wonderful about making sure you understand the procedure and what to expect. It is a very professional and calm atmosphere.

I highly recommend this practice for anyone with Gastro issues!I was previously with another Gastro doctor at ARC and was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, and I was not happy with the way they handled my case. So I came to Austin Gastro and I’ve been working with Dr. Anu Duddempudi for the last year and I feel like she helped save my quality of life. She actually walked me through my Crohn’s diagnosis and helped me & my husband understand what was happening in my body and how my life would change because of the disease. She was also very proactive and diligent in running tests and figuring out exactly what was happening with my health and what the best treatments would be for me.Since becoming Dr. Duddempudi’s patient, I’ve had a surgery, started a new medicine, and went from being chronically ill with low quality of life, to finally getting healthy again and enjoying every day. I cannot stress enough how much she has helped get my health back in order!

Doctor was thorough with consult, so generous in helping with prep and followup contact.

She is very thorough, and after she dealt with questions within her realm of expertise she referred me to a specialist for a problem she felt needed that level of attention.

This doctor now practices in Austin, Texas. I saw her for a consultation and felt that she and her staff did not show much empathy, a quality that I deem essential in a physician, especially one who practices gastroenterology.
