Disrespectful and rude
Dr. Reyes was assigned to me while I was in the hospital, as my cardiologist was out of town. He walked into my room with no introduction, told me he wasn't going to discharge me from the hospital because I was 'dangerous', lectured me on a drug I have been taking for 7 years, a blood thinner, that He didn't think I should be on and left. I had been released by the electrophysiologists, but the final decision was up to him. I had to ask my nurse who he was and why he felt I was dangerous. It was because he didn't like my cardiologist's decision. My dr. returned 2 days later and released me. I spent 2 unnecessary days and nights in the hospital because as he put it, he didn't want to release me because he didn't want something to happen to me as it may come back on him. I've been seeing my cardiologist for over 20 years and trust him and his decisions, but apparently Dr. Reyes doesn't. In the end, I wouldn't entrust this doctor to pull a tick off of my dog. I refused to see him again.

My 90 year old father's quality of life has improved immensely, thanks to Dr. Reyes. If you want a hand-holder and head=patter, he's not the doctor for you. If you want precise, concise diagnosis and treatment, this highly skilled cardiologist is your guy. Dad's previous Dr. told us he has had a good, long life, did nothing for his symptoms. I was desperate to find a doctor who would look more closely at what was going on and not discount Dad because of his age. Think ER sent us to Dr. Reyes who listened to our concerns, is treating Dad's symptoms and Dad is now enjoying life at a much higher level. Dad has dementia so much of the diagnosis and treatment has to be done without reliable patient feedback. He's a great doctor. We've never had to wait very long for an appointment & his staff is always friendly and helpful.

Dr Reyes knows nothing about my treat plan and requirement for the orthopedic surgery I need. He just assumed that my surgery was unnecessary. He does not know the true condition of my knee and therefore is not qualified to speak to the necessity of my surgery and should not be making judgements about it.

Avoid this doctor. This is the worst doctor I have encountered in my life. I felt extremely rushed. He did not take his time to listen to my concerns and the information I was sharing with him. He kept on cutting me short. I left the office without learning anything new about my condition. He requested for some test to be done after my visit. It is a standard to do these test before the visit for my condition (pericarditis). I was also lied to; I was told that my insurance would cover him.
