I had a total knee replacement in February, 2023 and I am still unable to walk up steps because of intense pain. After numerous “referrals” by her to sports medicine physicians, a radiologist to discuss a genicular artery embolization I consulted with another orthopedic surgeon. Upon examination I was told that there seemed to be too much lax in my knee and that I would probably need the tibia insert replaced with a wider one. I hope that will address the problem. If not, it will be a complete revision. I must also add that after my surgery Antonia Chen did not even talk to my husband. When he was told by reception that I was in recovery he asked how I was doing. The receptionist in the waiting room was surprised that Chen had not spoken to him and would find out why. Twenty minutes later he received a phone call from Chen who was, evidently, in her car. Had the receptionist not called I am sure that she never would have bothered to contact him.

I had a partial knee replacement by Dr Chen in July 2024 and have had nothing but trouble. I am in constant pain and have alot of swelling. The components have loosened and I have had less than a week of pain-free days in 7 months. Early on, when I realized something wasn't right, I called to see Dr Chen and was told the dr had left and a new dr would be replacing her in January, months away. I was in contact by phone with Chen's PA who was very nice. After a few telehealth calls I went into see the PA who discovered the knee component was loosening. I was very dissatisfied with the surgery outcome of my PKR and also how I was left with no Dr. I had a very active life before this surgery and now I spend my days lying on the sofa. I also must add that I only saw Dr Chen once, when I went into her office for the initial visit. Not before the surgery in the hospital or any other time after did I see her or speak to her. Two hours after the surgery I was released and sent home, with no support from Dr Chen. I would not recommend Dr Chen.

Dr. Chen's manner was friendly and extremely professional. What I appreciated most was she listened and understood the pain I was going through. Dr. Chen took the time to explain everything clearly to my partner and myself so that I we were well prepared for my upcoming surgery.

Lt knee TKR

Back to a normal life
Three months ago Dr Chen replaced my right hip. I could barely walk and was in severe painbefore the proceedure. I am now back to enjoying a normal life again. Three people in my family have had hip replacement sugery. I have had the best recovery of all of us. Following the exersizesand suggestions in Force helped me stay on track. Thank you Dr Chen for my successful surgery.

The A Team knee specialist
Dr Chen and the team are great at what they do. The process was smooth . Then listened to concerns . I had both knees replaced one year apart and it was great every step in the journey was easy . Professional in every aspect. I will refer Dr Chen to anyone that says there knee pain is bad.

Best Orthopedic Dr Ever
I've had 3- previous Knee Specialist Drs look at my messed up knee replacement- none of those specialist did anything but guess what's wrong? Dr Chen was different -she listens - she cared- and she told me what I was going through for the past two years was not normal at all. She did a battery of test right away , and now I'm waiting for the outcome. I've never felt more confident in a Dr in my life! Thank You Dr Chen

Partial replacement’s of both knees
Dr Chen listened to my concerns and developed a mutually agreeable surgical plan for both my knees, resulting in two partial replacements. I am pain free and back to having a quality life!

Dr. Chen is one of a kind!
Dr. Chen is amazing! She was always willing to listen to me and would try plan B, C and even D before we went to the OR. She would think outside of the box and truly listened to what I needed and allowed me to have two major knee surgeries, a Complete Revision of a failed replacement and then 7 weeks later a Total Replacement on my terms. I cannot speak highly enough about her expertise, her professionalism and her amazing bedside manner. She truly listens to and gets to know her patients and works with them for the best possible outcomes.

I was fortunate enough to find Dr Chen . I put off having a total knee replacement for several years. It’s now been approximately nine weeks and I can honestly say Dr Chen is the best.I cannot remember the last time I could walk as well as I am now.

she's a game changer
Dr. Chen is the best. After our visit I felt so confident that I went forward with a total hip replacement and it has changed everything for the better. Her staff are so thorough and the post op follow up from the team was perfect. Zero regrets she is amazing.

Dr. Chen and my right knee replacement
Dr. Chen is a true professional and an amazing doctor. She is there far before and long after your surgery helping you with what is needed to prepare and recover from surgery. The surgery was a great success and I was always comfortable and aware of what was coming next. Dr. Chen and her staff made the experience pleasant. I have had both knees done and highly recommend Dr. Chen.
