Dr. Anthony Termine, MD

My son saw Dr. Termine over several years for ADHD and anxiety. It was only until my son was sent in for a second opinion by a different doctor that we knew that Dr. Termine misdiagnosed my son for both conditions. Also, Dr. Termine’s staff lacked in regard to organization and transparency and had overcharged us twice.

This review is long overdue. I was a patient of Dr. Termine's for approximately two years before he abruptly decided to discontinue accepting UnitedHealthcare/Optum. Throughout the pandemic, he would schedule phone appointments with me every other month, which lasted fewer than 5 minutes. He would then bill my insurance company $675, and after the plan discount and my copay, took home $227. That's $227 for 3 minutes of interacting with the patient. When Dr. Termine told me he was no longer accepting UnitedHealthcare, he said "UnitedHealthcare isn't very psychiatrist friendly." Apparently $227 for 3 minutes isn't enough for him. Additionally, he informed me of this change during one of our appointments and did not schedule a follow up or offer to assist with finding an alternative. This was in June 2021. Several months later, I received a letter in the mail from my insurance company stating that Dr. Termine's contract would be ending with UHC in September 2021... This man could have

Dr. T is one of the best psychiatrists in New York City. He is caring, thoughtful, insightful and real. He's helped me through so many stages of my life with a stellar combination of talk and pharmaceutical intervention. I am lucky to have found him.

I've been going to Dr.T for eight years now. He's experienced & knowledgeable. He's approachable & compassionate. What brought me to him was a very traumatic experience and because if it I had lost everything my hope ,my dreams and my job. He treated me with dignity and understanding. I would have never made it with out his extensive understanding of Medicine & his encouragement. He will always make time even if he has to stay a bit late. He's a dedicated doctor. I was lucky to had found him.
