Arrogant Rude Ricottone
He may be a good surgeon, but as others have said, he's condescending, gets angry when you ask questions, draws pictures like you are a 2 year old, and appears to hate his job. The last straw was when I had to have a very invasion, procedure. During the procedure he told me if i didn't calm down it was going to hurt worse. During the scope he told me I had an enlarged prostate. I asked him what the prognosis was and he said when I started having problems we could talk about that. I left the practice and the office called me to tell me Riccotone said I was no longer his patient. Give me a break. Rude fool!

I’m so confused at this point rating may be higher
So much going on at once in my world with my children and myself. I’m just having a hard time grasping what they’re trying to tell me. As it stands I have faith in my doctor what he thinks is best I would just like a little more clarification on what’s going on and how fast

What a CLOWN this guy is. Sees patients once in the office to diagnose them and then delegates everything to mid level employees. If you go to the Emergency Room don't expect a call back from Tony. He will have his Nurse or PA call you. Tony does NOT administer treatment either. He delegates this to his Physician Assistants. If you are looking for decent bedside manner and for someone who provides 1 on 1 care he is definitely NOT your guy. Zero stars was not an option here, otherwise that's what he would get.

Dr. Ricottone is by far the worst doctor I have ever dealt with. I thought he was arrogant and condescending prior to having my procedure, but was told by a couple other doctors that he was a good surgeon, (And that's what I was most concerned with) so I tolerated the personality issues. My surgery TURP did not go according to what I had been told to expect. (I will preface this by saying that I understand that things don't always go exactly as planned.) I was back in the Doctor's office because of a second blockage in my catheter (one week post surgery). The nurse relayed what Dr. Ricottone had told her about what I can expect, which was extremely upsetting to me. So I asked to speak with the Dr. He came in and was immediately confrontational (I won't detail it out) but he was very insulting and again condescending and didn't show any compassion or attempt to understand my feelings. I wish I could do a video replay of this. (I couldn't wait to get out of there) NOT Recommended.

I could not wait to post this review. This MD is awful. All the negative reviews you read about him are true. I think he writes his own positive reviews to try to negate the negative ones. They all have the same tone. He may have gone to MD school but he skipped the classes to learn kindness and compassion. Shame on you Ricottone

Wow! What an experience!!! If you want a doctor who is rude, arrogant, condescending, talks down to you, scolds you like a child... then this is your guy! Just look at his reviews. Before giving my one star, he had 29 reviews. 15 five star; 10 one star. More than 1/3 of his reviews were ONE STAR!!!! That alone speaks volumes to his character... or lack thereof! Unprofessional from the moment I met him. Nearly came to blows over his cocky "don't talk down to me in my office" attitude. Asked the nurse to make sure I never see him again. I'm sure WNY Urology Associates is a fine establishment, but this "professional" should not be allowed to practice medicine again! So after I publish this one star review, 11 of his 30 reviews will be one star. Shouldn't you put your health in the hands of a doctor who is respected by all of his patients?? Numbers don't lie. The office manager of this practice should really reconsider having Ricottone as a member.

This doctor is more concerned with lining his wallet than helping patients. He discharges patients who are not lucrative to him. I called ahead of time to cancel my appointment, mind you the only way to do so for a Monday appointment is with the on call nurse and was told because I canceled twice (could not tell me the other time) I was being discharged. Never got any answers from this doctor about my condition. I do not recommend this doctor.
