Dr. Mascioli and I had enjoyable visit. He was very kind and personable. Knew exactly my problem and gave me several choices for my recovery. So, next week I'll start my PT and I hope it helps. Thanks Doc.

First time to meet him
First time I've met him. He frightened me, the way he walked in and was so abrupt and had no time to wait for me to formulate an answer to his questions. He was with me 3 minutes and when he left, I felt like I probably looked like a deer in headlights, I was feeling shocked and had to hold back the tears, just confused. I'm wondering now if maybe he was angry with something or someone when he walked in, I don't know him so i can't say if that was a normal visit for him.

RUN AWAY - if I could give a zero, I would
No communication skills, smug, belittling and rude. Was told my MRI was 'wrong' and that I 'didn't have torn rotator cuff muscles' because 'that's how I make money - I'm a surgeon and I'd tell you if you needed surgery.' After weeks of PT, & inability to lift 2 pounds or raise my arm, I returned for final visit. Waited over 2 h - several inquiries re how much longer, was told 'oops, he left for the day.' Then saw NP who wanted to know: did I need pain medicine, another steroid shot (the first had no effect), or did I want another doctor to determine to what extent I had a disability... all I wanted was to be able to lift my arm again. After seeking a 2nd opinion, I was diagnosed with significant tears of 2 rotator cuff muscles and had surgery 19 mo after my accident. Six months of PT later I'm about back to normal, except for lost strength due to 19 mo inactivity. I have to wonder - was I treated like this because my accident was WC related, or is he just inept?

Did not explain X-rays or anything for that matter. In a hurry to give a shot and get me out! No instructions and or suggestions, no follow up information, NOTHING. When I asked questions, answers were flippant as he was walking out the door!
