Great Surgeon
I had emergent surgery for a bad gallbladder. He took me to surgery right away and took out the gallbladder laparoscopically. I woke up pain free and left the hospital 2 hours after surgery not needing anything for pain. Grateful for the doctors at St. Vincents and Dr. Kaiser.

no post op care
Didnt share information with our family after emergency surgery for colon removal-stage 4 cancer. Sent my mom to a rehab facility and never set up a return post op visit. We didnt even know the surgeons name or when to see him again. The rehab facility also was not given any information. My mom had severe diarrhea and developed a bed sore due to this. The problem was handled by another surgeon but not until my Mom suffered for 4 weeks! She only lived 8 weeks. She just needed a bile pill to solve her problem but he never saw her back to figure that out. Sloppy hand off from the hospital to the rehab facility. St Vincent should make sure the family knows what is going on to fill in the gaps. St Vincent was just convinced my Mom had no dementia so told us nothing. She was diagnosed 4 days after leaving St Vincent with moderate dementia and would require 24-7 care to leave rehab center. Dr Kaiser and St Vincent ruined 4 weeks of my moms last weeks on this earth.

Dr. Kaiser did my last abdominal surgery about 9 years ago. I had scar tissue from a previous surgery and he used seprafilm which apparently has prevented scar tissue from accumulating. I am delighted.
