Saved my life
After many doctors guessed at this and that and was completely wrong! He determined my issues and addressed them quickly! I wouldn’t be here if I’d stayed with the other doctors! I would recommend him any day! Dr C is a real blessing!

He saved my life!
I had Chiari malformation that reared it's ugly head, and I had a surgery in 2013. After a few short months, the chiari reoccurred. It was at this point that I was directed to Dr. Capocelli. He was very attentive to my questions and needs. In 2015, Dr. Cap performed the life changing surgery. Because of his gentleness and experience, I am able to live a great life and enjoy my family.

Such an amazing caring, intelligent Dr.
I have seen Dr. Capocelli for years, he has operated on me several times due to a disc degeneration disease. No other Dr anywhere on the face of this earth wound I ever trust with my life as much as I trust this man. From the very first surgery when I woke able to walk 21 years ago to the last one a few years ago , No one will ever be as good as him. Do you have to wait to get an appointment? Most of the time. Do you have a wait time in the office ? Sometimes. Is your life , your ability to walk , enjoy life , live, love , laugh and have another day worth the wait? Dang right it is!! As I’ve told him a million times, I don’t care where he goes or how far, I would follow him to the ends of the earth, because I’ve experienced the gift of healing that God gave him, and I was so blessed to have landed in his office. I’ve seen the outcome of my friends who went to other neurosurgeons, then begged me to help me get them in to see Dr C when their surgery didn’t turn out so well.

Chiari
Dr. C truly is the best. I had been to several physicians for years and non were able to diagnose or treat my problem. First visit he diagnosed me and scheduled surgery. My life got a little better. After we added a shunt; I actually got a quality of life that I thought I would never have again. I am truly grateful for him. I think he needs to train others and pass his knowledge along. Not all Chiari specialist are like Dr C. He is one in a million, truly he is.

Worth the trip
We drove 7.5 hours from south Louisiana and it was worth it. The staff works with us on scheduling and they are always nice. Dr. Capocelli answered all of my questions and is a very nice man, not to mention a great doctor. My surgery could not have gone any better and i felt the after care was top notch. Baptist Health is a very good hospital with great nursing staff. Dr. Capocelli kept me informed on my recovery and I felt the plan of care was laid out well. I would highly recommend Dr. Capocelli. He, his NP, and his staff are all great people and they are the cream of the crop.

Amazing Neurosurgeon
He is a amazing neurosurgeon that is a expert in Chiari Malformation. He is very caring and compassionate . He takes his time and listens and is very informed and knows what is going on and validates and informs about the condition and co morbidities and the symptoms that can arise. His staff is top notch as well, over all they are a godsend when it took over 2 years to find a knowledgeable care team...

Excellent
I will never forget February 2, 2022, because that was my first appointment with Doctor Anthony L. Capocelli and I can not describe the emotions I felt at the moment he acknowledge my symptoms and said: "Chiari Malformation" I knew at that instant my life was going to improve. His expertise and willingness to listen and discuss are exceptional, he is incredibly thorough and explained everything to me in a way that was easy for me to understand. He is very kind and extremely down-to-earth. I just wish more doctors could be like Anthony L. Capocelli, educate themselves and recognize Chiari Malformation patients. The care I received at Ortho Arkansas from the staff and Doctor Capocelli to date goes beyond all my expectations.

Dr Capocelli was by far the best neurologist I’ve seen. He was kind, patient and explained my condition and answered all my questions and did not dismiss me as just depressed or act as if I was a waste of his time. I can’t tell you how many times I left Dr’s office’s in tears after being treated with callousness and disregard, going home to continue living with debilitating symptoms. His entire staff was warm and welcoming, I highly recommend Dr Capocelli.

Dr. Capocelli is a very well rounded and intelligent Neurosurgeon. This man give me an opportunity to be pain free from Cervical Spine surgery when two other surgeons couldn’t. He also found out I had Chiari Syndrome shortly before my Cervical Spine surgery. I’m forever greatful for this man. Thank You Dr. Capocelli!!

I have Chiari, I had surgery with Dr. Cap on Jan. 30, 2019. After an 8 hour surgery Dr. Cap told my family it went well but was more complicated than he expected. Thirty minutes later my family was allowed to see me. I was very critical and was on a ventilator. My neck was so swollen that my tongue was out of my mouth. I spent 53 days in the hospital, 30 of those were in ICU. After 2 weeks on the ventilator, I had to have a trach and a GI feeding tube. I spent 2 weeks in Rehab learning to walk, talk, and swallow again. I came home on a feeding tube and could not raise my right arm. I never got any answers about what happened to me. He also did a fusion in my neck due to cranial instability. He never explained to me before surgery that I would lose all ROM if I had this fusion. My quality of life is 100 percent worse since surgery. I have sent him e mails and have not gotten a reply from him. I can't imagine not having the decency to at least respond back to a patient.

I had chiari decompression done by him and he removed too much bone. Also the patch on over the site was not fully covered. I showed him my concerns and he said this was fine while my symptoms continue to get worse. I wouldn't suggest anyone to go to this man. He doesn't check to see if you might have rulers danlos syndrome or anything else that might affect your outcome after surgery. He just wants his money and he is done with you.
