She marked my life for the better
This lady....there are not enough words. 32 years ago she accepted me as a patient and probably shouldn't have because I was more trouble and cost more with my premature delivery than she ever counted on. However as a poor struggling student with an unexpected pregnancy, she showed me such kindness and stability that years later upon returning to the area and pregnant with my 3rd I went directly to her as she welcomed us again. Once again, another premature delivery and she was there by my side. I'll never forget showing up at the NICU and finding her draped over my sons' isolette and quietly weeping. All kids are grown adults and thankfully had healthy childhoods and although we moved to another part of the country to raise our family Dr. Annie has ALWAYS held a most important part in our story. Her professionalism was balanced by her tender care, her knowledge by her ability to relate etc. etc. This is the type of person that should choose medicine as a career.
