Excellent Physician, Attention to Detail
I don’t usually write reviews but felt it necessary after seeing the negative one and the low rating. Dr. Rao is an excellent physician. We first found her practice through a recommendation in the middle of COVID in 2020 when my then 20 month old daughters previous doctors office stopped seeing sick patients and started sending them all to urgent care. We went to urgent care countless times for ear infections and colds that just wouldn’t clear up. During our first visit Dr. Rao could tell that my daughter had iron deficient anemia just by looking at her. I was in such a hurry that day that we left before they did the blood draw and she came out to the parking lot to get us. She was also able to order the appropriate tests and diagnose my daughter with rare childhood condition and get her a referral to children’s national hospital. She is an excellent physician. She got my daughter, the care of that she’s so desperately needed at that time.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Rao?
Dr. Rao presented one of the worst bedside manners of any doctor my family has visited lately. The office staff, while most are polite, have exhibited post COVID-19 attitudes where they present as doing you a favor. It's not just this practice, it's Healthcare providers in general. I get the stress over the past 2 years - no excuse. Go find a new job. It's a shame the practice that Dr. Shuster built over the years where they actually cared about their patients has turned to this... Who tells a patient "you figure it out" when you are the "expert"? Patients are just as frustrated as you and while no excuses, patients between young adult and adult can't express themselves well. Yet Dr. Rao said "you can see a pediatrician as long as you want". As soon as we can find an "adult" practice accepting new patients, my family is gone from Opal Court Pediatrics. I will also ensure sharing our experience with everyone I come in contact. Do no harm... perhaps some doctors need to review the Hippocratic Oath.
