Dr. Anna Mendenhall, MD

Dr Mendenhall is super caring, kind, and calming for both my kids and me! I have brought my kids to see her for the past decade and I will say hands down she is the best. We’ve had to see other doctors once in awhile but feel the best when Dr Mendenhall is our doc. She is calming and secure in her excellent skills (found a fracture the xray reader said was normal) and has always fit us in at the last minute and has been approachable and understanding.

I saw Dr. Mendenhall a year ago when my children’s primary doctor was out sick. I’d like her to know her effect on people. I left the interaction feeling like a totally awful mom, and felt extremely judged. I had two kids under 3 years old with me. I was holding my 2 year old who was being unruly, and trying to help my 3 year old with her shoes at the same time. Doc looked at me in disgust like I wasn’t able to manage both of them (girl it’s hard ok? I’m just trying to make it work and I never thought my pediatrician would judge me!) My daughter is a picky eater and I personally was proud she began to eat salami and pepperoni but Dr. Mendenhall looked disappointed and said “those are the worst foods.” Lady I don’t know about “the worst” lol she doesn’t eat them every day and I’m just trying to broaden her taste buds. Anyway I’m also a physician and my hope is I never let my patients leave feeling like a piece of trash. I’m sure she’s a competent doctor but I’ll avoid her for now!

Dr Mendenhall takes care of all 3 of my kids for 22 years and has been wonderful with them every step of the way. From helping me through hard times when they were babies and toddlers (3 under 4!) to teen angst and now college years we all love her. The now young adults don’t want to see anyone else. Her partners are all good too but she is the best! Goes above and beyond!

We have had wonderful doctors at cpcmg, but this woman is truly the worst. She is cruel, condescending, pompous, insincere, and cold. It’s strange that she chose to be a pediatrician given her obvious disregard for children. She will not listen to your polite requests or boundaries, she will do what she wants to your child without hesitation because she has delusions of grandeur. Stay away! I recommend Dr. Clementino, or Dr. Brion for doctors that are knowledgeable, skilled, kind, and attentive.

If you’re reading this, you’re a parent who cares about their kid and wants to make sure their doctor is in good hands. With Dr. Mendenhall, they are not. My child said afterward that it was the scariest experience they’d ever had with a doctor. I now regret not checking reviews online first. I had to spend the rest of the day calming them down. This doctor should not be allowed anywhere near kids.

She is extremely condescending, rude with lack of compassion. After talking over us and giving guilt that why our daughter is watching tv to avoid crying while getting her vaccines, she wrote in her after summary note that she is likely autistic based on her “being glued to the screen” observation . I just couldn’t believe it. She is not our primary pediatrician and was only seen her due to scheduling issues but will refuse to see her in the future . She should not be a pediatrician and I wish I would have read some reviews before seeing her, now I am bothered enough to come and leave a review. Please if you read this Retire and stop damaging families and kids.

I’ve seen Dr. Mendenhall about 2 times. I’ve taken my daughters to Childrens Primary Care since they were born. Never have I experience such a condescending and rude doctor in my entire life. She has no patience, she’s not kind, and it makes an already tough experience bringing your kid to the doctor ten times Worse. Every other doctor, but Mendenhall, in this group is kind, patient, and truly professional.

Dr. Mendenhall has been a wonderful doctor to my two children. I have a daughter that is a teenager and she has already treated my daughter with dignity and respect. Dr. Mendenhall caught a medical condition with each of my children that required extensive therapy and medical attention. She made sure we had referrals quickly and worked with insurance to get us treatment quickly. I am very grateful for her hard work, professionalism, and kindness.

I agree with the posts about her rudeness. In addition to being rude she lacks compassion and does not care or listen to why we came to see her. She talked down to us and acted like we were wasting her time. Please do not bring your child in if they are sick because she will just make them feel like they are liars and not worthy of her time or care. She offers no compassion and should not be working with teens. She has no passion but demonstrates she is there for a pay check.

Dr Mendenhall was also great with my daughter when she was young. She was there for my daughter the day I delivered, and I was very happy with her. Fast forward to my daughter as a teenager and it was like the worst experience of her life. She was sad, mortified and felt horrible about herself as she said Dr Mendenhall was EXTREMELY rude and mean to her and her grandmother who took her to the doctor. I would not recommend her as a dr for older kids, as she could really damage their self-esteem.

Dr. Mendenhall was great with my babies but as they grew, she turned mean. She has been judgemental on several occassions and flat out refused to believe my son once and berated my daughter once. My daughter suffered severe acne and as if that's not humiliating enough, Dr. Mendenall dismissed her. I have a friend who also said she was ridiculously rude to her son as well. I have switched to another doctor and only regret that I did not do so sooner as visits now are a pleasure.
