Dr. Anna-Maria Butera, DO

Its tough to write this, but I hate for this to happen to others. Dr. Butera has been my primary care physician for quite a while, granted I rarely go to the Doctor for anything, so there was never much that was required. I have suffered a couple different chronic diseases off and on that sometimes flare up. With that being said whenever I do need care, it is as if she does not look at my medical history to see what I have "tried" in the past to resolve my medical issues and whether they have worked or not. This really makes me feel as if she does not take the time to look at the bigger picture and truly care about me as a patient of hers. It is very stressful having to remind someone of past medical history, when it is available in front of them. I chose a DO as my medical provider hoping that my medical experience would be more wholesome, but it really has not been much of a positive experience.

It pains me to write this review because I don’t want to cause harm to Dr. Butera’s professional reputation with my opinion. However, I felt it was important enough to provide feedback on my experience. Unfortunately my experience with Dr. Butera has deteriorated over the years. She initially provided quality care, and I now feel like she does not care. She does not bother to get to the bottom of symptoms after multiple complaints. And when you question something, she will reiterate 10 times that she practices "evidence-based medical practice." Her delivery when she explains things is also very abrupt and rude. I will be switching to someone else. I implore you to please go to another family doctor should you be assigned to her.

I am 76 years old and Dr. Butera is one of the best doctors I have ever had. She is very direct and honest in her evaluations. She listens to you and doesn't seem to rush you out. Would definitely recommend her.
