Dr. Anna Claugus, MD

I had to find a new primary care physician since my doc moved too far away for me to travel. I first went as a 'meet and greet' type visit, and I really really liked her. She asked a ton of questions to get a overall pic of me and my health, and we immediately had a good vibe. I would absolutely recommend!

This was my first time in the office. I felt everyone was efficient and caring. Dr Claugus asked many questions, listened, showed concern and explained everything very well. Overall I feel this is a caring office and very comfortable.

Dr Claugus is very very very thorough family physician. She picked up something about me that was never really done before. And she has an awesome personality. Her staff is friendly and treats you like family.

I've been seeing Dr. Claugus for a few years now and recommend her to friends and family often! She gets to know her patients personally and creates a welcoming environment at every appointment. I've never left confused or feeling rushed after an appointment.

I saw Dr Clagus after my daughter was assaulted. I wouldn’t share this with her but I think asking questions about stressors is normal and good patient care. I saw a Dr years ago who said it takes me 10 minutes to hear about peoples lives before I can treat and prescribe. Not this Doctor!! I mentioned one other small thing after a quick assessment of why I was in and only 5 minutes into my appointment and she seemed miffed. It took her 1 minute to explain what it could be and I was off. I think she does well with the older patients. I’ve seen the interactions with the elderly and NOT what I experienced. I need a doctor I can relate to a little bit. Someone whom I feel actually cares and is concerned about helping me. I am respectful of physicians time and this isn’t an easy time to practice medicine. I’ll be looking for physician who takes in interest in my overall health. Horrible experience here and I’m a healthy person!

Dr. Claugus is such a Nice Person and Doctor. She takes the time to explain things and She doesn’t talk over your head.

I visited HMG Family Medicine after losing my insurance, and was seen by Dr. Claugus. Dr. Claugus showed exemplary knowledge about my conditions, and additionally showed great concern for which conditions caused me chronic pain, and provided the prescriptions needed to quell the mass discomfort, but most of all, my visit with her was not an 'In and Out' 10 minute visit as is seen with most physicians today. I was able to have as much time as was needed. Give Dr. Claugus and HMG Family Medicine a try, you cannot go wrong.

Dr. Claugus listens well, asks great questions, and she is thorough and responsive. She's an excellent doctor, and I feel fortunate to have her as my primary care physician.

Dr. Claugus did an excellent job with the explanation, advising, and implementation of Nexplanon.
