From the first phone call to the first and last visit. It is the worst doctor's office I have dealt with in 30 years.

Hashimoto's
I was referred to Dr. Verma by my Primary Physician and no other endocrinologists were taking new patients, so I came to this office. Here I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's, but she told me that nothing can help the condition, not a diet, not workouts, nothing. She also invalidated any symptoms I have from it such as tiredness, and sudden weight gain, even though my T3 (anti-body) numbers are extremely high. My thyroid is still functioning in range so I cannot be medicated which is more than okay with me, but as a doctor you must talk with patients and suggest a diet such as an AIP diet than can help with Hashimoto's flare ups and to get healthy!!! Go here only if you must and need to be diagnosed, but I would suggest that anyone with Thyroid issues seek out a Naturopathic doctor afterwards, that will sit and look through your blood work with you, (not in 5 minutes like Dr. Verma), and will work with you to figure out what lifestyle and food changes you need to make!

Stay Away or YOU will Pay
Dr. Verma requested blood tests but Medicare wouldn't pay without further explanation. Medicare requested I get a THREE SENTENCE letter from Dr. Verma to clarify the reason for the tests. The office refused to provide the letter and I got stuck with the bill. This office only cares about money and not patients.

Nope!
It's very unfortunate there aren't many endocrinologists in my immediate area. I visited this practice years ago myself and it was Terrible! I should've learned my lesson then!!! Now and more importantly it's my teenage daughter in need of help and once again Dr. Verma was extremely unhelpful! My daughter (college student) is experiencing serious hormonal issues (constant sweating, headaches, stomach pains, extreme fatigue, etc.) and can barely make it to class because of it. We had bloodwork and MRI done which clearly shows 3 areas for concern (all of which would cause my daughter's current symptoms according to what we found on the Mayo Clinic site), but Dr. Verma simply says "she doesn't know what the problem is and can only advise us based on what she knows." She then prescribes a medication to see if it helps and refers us to a Johns Hopkins endocrinologist after taking my copays and telling us nothing! The front desk staff isn't the best either! I'm soooo frustrated!

Anju Verma needs to quit her job for the benefit of the community. She knows nothing about endocrinology and is miserable doing this. The worst “doctor” ever.

Recently, I attempted to schedule an office visit with Dr. Verma. The front desk staff is incredibly incapable, incompetent and ignorant in their handling of the various office transactions. The lady that answered the phone today was unsure of the next available date to make an appointment, she answered the incoming call, "Can you Hold please" and quickly placed me on hold. The proper way to answer a business call would be, "Good Evening, Dr. Verma's Office, may I place you on hold please".

doctors ever! very unprofessional! If it Require for her to fill out paper work for your care she will not do it. All she wants is to keep charging your insurance for follow ups without doing anything. Also I’m Hispanic and I have tattoos I have never done drugs or ever been arrested but on my profile they put that I did Illicit drugs. I Should’ve sue them for Deformation of character. Incredible we are in a pandemic it’s a shame for Doctors like this.

Absolutely the WORST practice I've ever dealt with. Dr. Verma and that whole office clearly hates interacting with their patients. Nobody picks up on their main line, and instead there's a recording saying to text a different number. When you text, they say to send an email. When you send an email, they say to send a message through the portal. If you're locked out of the portal, it says to call the main number. If you ask for portal help via email, they say sorry there's nothing we can do to help you. I actually had to drive to the office to reach someone, which is something a doctor should NOT be encouraging people to do during COVID! I also showed up 20 minutes early as instructed, and when I arrived she said they are out to lunch and locked me out of the building until my appointment time. Health issues are stressful enough without the doc adding to it with a completely dysfunctional office.

This practice refused to see my transgender partner. My partner was referred by his primary care doctor to see Anju Verma to track his hormones, and to renew prescriptions he has been on for five years. They denied him an appointment because the doctors don't see gender dysphoria or transgender care as medically necessary. This is outrageous, it's 2020 not 1995. Get with the times!!!! Hormone therapy for Gender dysphoria is a medical necessity! I will say the front desk woman who I spoke with was very nice, this comment is a reflection of the practice not the receptionists.

Dr. Verma is wonderful! She is always on time or very close to it and listens to all my concerns. She goes over all my test results and asks all the appropriate questions regarding my medical condition and overall health. As a medical provider, I recognize superior care and service when I receive it. It saddens me to read the negative reviews from individuals that clearly do not understand patient confidentiality. No doctor is going to discuss medical concerns on the patient portal. Anyway, Dr. Verma is an excellent choice for your medical needs.

Dr. Verma has no blood facilities, cannot take even a sample from your finger to analyze then and there. This is astonishing for a diabetes doctor. She jams her waiting room with patients, and refuses to talk with you about anything via the patient portal -- demanding you come in to talk even for simple questions -- obviously to make more money from you. I do not recommend her. There are much better diabetes doctors in the Germantown area.

I haven’t even seen this docotor and the whole office is DISGUSTING! I was referred to “fantastic” Dr. Verma from my ob/gyn doctor and I called to make an appointment. I requested for a sign language interpreter and know what they said? “We’re refusing to accommodate you with an interpreter but Dr. Verma would be willing to write back and forth on a piece of paper.” Nope, stay far away from this “doctor.” This is a doctor who doesn’t care about your health but your wealth. AVOID THIS DOCTOR!!!
