I attended an appointment with a family member. The Nurse Practitioner was nice and helpful during the office visit, however, when blood sugar problems arose we could not get anyone to return our calls for help and after waiting for over a week with no response, the family member had to be admitted to the hospital.

I met with Dr. Tan for my initial visit, and I was NOT IMPRESSED, she was concerned more of my personal residential move, instead of my medical condition. Only spent five minutes with Dr. Tan, her PA was the one who did the physical exam and ultrasound.

I was diagnosed with Graves disease over 3 weeks ago. Dr. Tan was listed as being in network with my BCBS insurance. I had a referral faxed over, and because my symptoms were severe I also called the office hoping I could get in as soon as possible. As a new patient I was asked to leave a message for the new patient coordinator. The message was terse and said to not leave more than one message, and that their referral process time could take up to 10 days. I left a detailed message, and asked to be called asap. I patiently waited two weeks, and there was no call. I called, and was told by the office that Dr. Tan and her group were cancelling their contract with BCBS next month. Did the patient coordinator, knowing my diagnosis and knowing I needed to be seen and treated, have the decency to actually call me and tell me that so I could search for another doctor? NO!! Leaving an ill patient hanging for 2 weeks is a violation of the hippocratic oath. Shame on Dr. Tan and her practice.

I have been with Dr. Tan for about 10 years now. She truly has a gift The greatest one is that she listens to her patients, doesn't just go by a "norm" and treats accordingly. She has a wonderful bedside manner and welcoming demeanor. She explains things well and follows closely. I agree getting to speak with anyone in the office is difficult bc of the automated systems, however this is just the way of the world unfortunately and not a reflection of her.

Met Dr. Jan for 5 min on my first visit, then I met with her PA for every visit. When diagnosed w/ a BRAIN TUMOR, I spent 2 mths trying to get a nuero reffereal and was passed from one call to the next. I was never asked to come in and discuss the tumor found on the MRI with the Dr. or PA. I spent a minimum of 5 min on hold for every phone call. I had to go up to the office for answers, sat for 45 min, then told someone would call me. No one did. I had to find a brain surgeon. So disappointing

Dr. Tan is amazing! She's compassionate, understanding and listens to the problems you have. She treated my daughter for Thyroid Cancer and then treats us both for thyroid issues. Last year I suffered from food poisoning that threw off my potassium and magnesium which caused other issues and she got me back on track. She's officially more a friend that a Dr. because she truly cares about her patients. Highly recommend !!!

Fantastic doctor! Dr. Tan explained everything to me, and she listens with concern, checks every symptom. She is the most thorough doctor I've ever been to, plus she's enjoyable to talk to! I felt good and empowered with knowledge when I left my appointment.

I met Dr. Tan at my first appointment when she was introduced by the physician's assistant; she immediately left the room and I've never seen her since; that was over a year ago. My real complaint is that my calls to PA (Jennifer Crumm) are never returned; I even wrote her a letter but she did not respond. They assured me a new medication was covered by insurance even when I checked and was told insurance would NOT pay. Jennifer said I was wrong; I now have a bill of over $900 denied coverage

Dr. Tan is very good, but her office staff can be difficult to deal with. My son has epilepsy but is seizure free and can drive short distances without stress, requested he be transferred to the colleyvile office which is about 5 miles away from our house. The Fort Worth office is 25+ miles away and a difficult drive. Explained the situation, was told they will not allow the transfer; asked if they would rather lose a patient than accommodate this request and they said yes. So goodbye.
