great Doctor, but office staff is terrible!!!
I've been a patient at University Hospitals in Ravenna Ohio for at least 3 years now, I was originally a patient of another doctor at University Hospitals Cardiology Clinic, but he left and my case was transferred to Dr Gupta... he is very professional and knowledgeable, and has taken very good care of me since I became his patient, but the staff at the clinic is not what I would consider to be professional, I have received an attitude from a few of them over the years, recently I had a scheduled appointment from about months ago, just prior to the appointment date, I received a call saying that the appointment would need to be rescheduled due to a conflict with scheduling, I said not a problem, and was given a new appointment date of 5/30/23, then a few weeks later I received another phone call saying that they needed to reschedule the appointment once again, this really irritated me, and I told the female on the phone that when they finally get their act together, give me a call!

STRESSED!!!!!
I had a Heart attack April 28, I was taken by rescue squad to UH Portage. Went straight into the Cath Lab. 2 Stents put in. I was told I would also need to go to UH Main Campus For another procedure and more stents put in. Which I did May 4. My husband dropped paperwork off April 29 for FEMLA since I could not take care of myself. It is now MAY 12! We have both been calling and my husband has been told without the paperwork being faxed HE WILL LOOSE HIS JOB! STRESS!!!!! We have been calling MULTIPLE times per day for the last 3 days! I finally told the Woman this is too much stress for me! She said “I will tell the girls.” If a Doctor and his staff are too busy to take care of ALL of a patients needs it is time to move on! I do agree with the person that said he is Burnt out!

Arrogant, burnt-out, dangerous doctor
Dr Gupta wouldn’t make eye contact with me. He seemed very distracted by his other patients and nurses. He spent just three minutes in the room, wherein he listened to my heart (but never even told me if he’d heard anything I should be worried about (I’d gone in with pvcs post-op and was worried about my artificial valve)) and then ordered me to have about four tests done (without explaining why they were necessary or what their connection was to my symptoms). Then without a word, he got up and left the room. He hadn’t listened to, let alone looked at me, and I hadn’t had a chance to ask the questions I’d come to ask. I heard him talking at another patient in the next room. Dr Gupta has no concern for the patient and may be burnt out. I don’t think it’d be safe to trust him, despite the plaques and newspaper articles on his wall and many good reviews. If you don’t believe me, go see for yourself. Or save yourself time and stress and just look for someone else, who can care.
