Finally a diagnosis!
Over a year of struggling with 3 doctors to find out what was wrong with me, Dr. Somasundaram found that my thyroid problem was Graves’ disease and not hypothyroidism. Previously I was given 8 different medications to no avail. Dr. Somasundaram Put me in a low dose of new medication and saw an improvement in only one month. We upped the dose and saw more improvement. I am still seeing the doc and will continue . Thank you Doctor!!

Hostile to patients
we went for my diabetes, first-time patient, the nurses were nice to me but this Dr was pretentious, talked down to me and my husband and was hostile like she didn't want to even deal with my questions. Maybe she isn't kind to older folks, I don't know but we are not going back to her.

Horrible self absorbed "know it all" dr... Stay away. VERY disappointed. I eventually went to U. Penn in the city where my case was handled with professionalism and genuine concern. Dr. Soma is horrible. (glad to hear I was not the only one upset with her!)

Dr. Soma did not even physically examine my thyroid, barely looked at my test results, accused me of being depressed and wanted to take me off of my thyroid meds even though my test results showed Hashimoto's. I was in tears in the car after the appointment and, looking back, I should have refused to pay. I've since seen another endocrinologist and it was like night and day - of course I had to wait 2 months to get the new appointment.
