Dr. Anita Alvestad-McIntyre, MD

She seems to be very closed minded when it comes to people preferring to birthing outside of a hospital setting and looks down on midwives and people who want an unmedicated or the least interventive birth. She makes decisions quickly without consulting the patient as if they don't know anything about their own body. She should have stayed retired. I am glad I didn't have her present to help me birth my baby but it was a close call as there was a shift change. I would have ended up with an unneccesary C section had she been my delivering doctor. I have been treated by her twice and her care caused trauma to me. And yes, a survey was done.

She delivered two of my daughters and was compassionate, understanding, and easy to talk to. Both pregnancies were high risk and she did a wonderful job reassuring me throughout my time with her.

She was completely dismissive of my mental health problems concerning getting pregnant. Wouldn't examine me or look at the ultrasound, she just kept insisting the cyst on my ovary was probably already gone, even with me telling her I could feel it. Then she told me I could stay on my meds if I got pregnant. Really? My mom couldn't even take aspirin! I do NOT trust this doctor at all. I didn't appreciate her treating my mental illness like it doesn’t exist or affect my life as much as it does.

I loved mcintyre. She's a very busy lady but she gets things done.

Dr. McIntyre is amazing. She is excellent at listening and honing in on issues presented and extremely compassionate, knowledgeable and professional. She did a great job helping with menopause issues and she delivered our granddaughter with style, calming us all when issues arose. My daughter and I hero worship her and we feel blessed to have her looking out for us. We've also been impressed with her staff in every area over the years.

She has a great personality, bed side manor, extremely competent and she is well educated. She always explains everything to the most detail I desire and is a Seahawks fan! She has delivered both of my children and was my OBGYN for both pregnancies. On a negative I think that some of the ?help? and ?nursing staff? might be a little dull or unknowledgeable or rude at times which was a disappointment but people are people and my experience with my doctor has always been 100%.
