Dr. Menedal was awesome, he’s a great surgeon and has a great bedside manner! I highly recommend him! My knee replacement went flawless.

I was referred to this dr....if you could call him that...for carpal tunnel surgery. He promised me I would have 100% use of my hand and the only complication was if I got an infection. I kept asking for physical or occupational therapy first because I wanted surgery as my last option. He completely denied me therapy. Figuring the surgery was so easy like he said, I went for it. Worst mistake of my life. I now have 50% use of my primary hand and I have constant pain with a constant burning sensation. I now have nerve damage and all he could do is say it's my fault. We agreed I would be awake during the surgery but after waking up 2.5 hours later in recovery....he lied and did what he wanted. Unfortunately this is now considered a bad surgical outcome according to him and he denies any wrong doing. Now I am left worst than I was before and in more pain with more loss of use to my hand and all he does is laugh at me and blame me for the outdone.

He literally laughed when I couldn’t do the things he was asking me to do. I couldn’t do some things due to the amount of pain I was experiencing. Then when he delivered my diagnosis, I was emotional because I’ve been through a lot lately. When I cried because I needed a hip replacement he had the audacity to say “it’s not like I’m giving you 12 months to live, I’m not telling you that you have cancer”. I’m allowed to be upset that I need major surgery!!! He has ZERO bed side manner!

Dr. Menedal has performed 2 knee replacements for my husband at the Salem VA medical center and the results have been excellent. He is an excellent surgeon, very caring and he & his staff are extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.

The doctor was informative, knowledgeable, and spoke to me not at me. We has a collegial discussion about my Left knee replacement surgery and 6 weeks post op I am doing just great. In the follow up interview we went over the progress I had made since the surgery and he was satisfied with that progress.
