Dr. Angela Ortega, DO

Our visits were fine until she cancelled one of our Monday appointments on the previous Friday. No problem. When can we reschedule? She said not until after the new year and we will only be taking Medicare Advantage as of January 1st. This appointment was to follow-up on all the doctors she had sent us to and figure out a plan. She wouldn't even see us on the scheduled Monday appointment to do this, which had been scheduled over 3 months earlier, knowing she would be dropping us. Instead, she threw us under the bus and left us hanging in the middle of the holidays to find a new doctor that would take us soon enough to refill our prescriptions before they ran out. This was not handled well at all. We have never had a doctor treat us in such an unprofessional manner.

Dr Ortega-Bermudez has been my dr for several years. At my last wellness check in 12/21, I was informed of move to CW; appt was set for 12/22 per dr's order. I changed it in late Oct to early Jan/23; was told no problem. 3 wks later was I informed via phone CW would not accept full Medicare effective 1/1/23 (6 weeks notice). I asked about early Jan appt & was informed it had been cancelled; CW would send letter with 3 referrals to other drs who accept full medicare. No letter received after a month. I had a positive covid test; called for prescription. I was told one would not be provided as I had not met CW policy of 6 mo. checkups (no one informed me including written materials). Medicare only covers annual checkups. I will be seeking a PCP who is patient centered, communicates timely & transitions smoothly in a practice that supports these values. Sad to end with Dr. Ortega-Bermudez this way. She is energetic, offers lifestyle remedies before turning to meds.

I am so disappointed Dr. Ortega is moving to a practice that no longer accepts my insurance. She makes an effort to contact the patient directly, returning phone calls and solving problems. She is VERY upbeat and positive all of the time and is very warm and understanding. I will miss her greatly.

I am so very sad as my husband and I both received a letter that Dr. Ortega and there practice will be moving to work with Senior Medicare. It took me a very long time to find a doctor that I was happy and comfortable with. I really hope I can find someone like her kind, takes their time, and seems to really care. Dr Ortega helped change my lifestyle for the better. I was diagnosed diabetic but instead of prescribing medicines, she advised me to exercise and avoid eating rice, bread, pasta and ice cream! It worked! Because she is taking good care of me, I highly recommend her so others will also be as blessed as I am!

Dr. O always takes as much time as you need. When she walks into the office it’s always with a burst of energy and a huge smile. She is thoughtful and always knows what she’s talking about. I highly recommend her. However the address is incorrect and I didn’t see any way to change it. The name of her practice is Nevada family care

Waited a month for this appointment. The scheduler kept pushing the PA but I wanted to be set up with a doc due to long term health issues. Never received any kind of confirmation email or call and I forgot the time of my appointment. Called first thing that day and waited on hold 15 min. Called back and waited 10 min... only to find out that while I was on hold I missed my appointment. And I can only see a PA (what is their deal with pushing The PAs) because she is supposedly booked until January. I’m going somewhere else. Too bad I wasted my time even waiting for this office. Who doesn’t give a courtesy call on appointment time? That’s basic level care. I can’t imagine having to go fill a prescription or how much I a mess other processes are.

Dr. Angela Ortega-Bermudez is a wonderfully skilled and efficient doctor. I am so blessed to have found her for me and my daughter too and she is always encouraging and knowledgeable and makes us feel greatly at ease with her and her assistants and staff too! She works well with her patients and she really shows that she cares about our health and to help us become healthier every time we are there. I enjoy going to my appointments each time and I am so thankful for Dr. Ortega for everything!

Dr Ortega is amazing. She goes above and beyond with her patients and is your biggest cheerleader. She makes you feel like you can conquer anything together. I love her so much.

I saw Dr Ortega for the first time today. What a lovely, caring doctor that will listen to you. It has been a few years since I have an doctor that exhibited those characteristics. I feel she has my back and will be my best friend in caring for my Health.

The quality of service provided by the office staff and the doctor was horrible.

Dr. Ortega has been my physical for years. She is extremely caring about her patients and their wellbeing. She is not rushed when she meets with the patient, and she takes the time to resolve any issues at hand. She is always smiling and uplifting.

Awful! She yawned at least 6 times during my last appointment, then she got my prescriptions wrong on what we had discussed. She refused to acknowledge her mistake and caused me pain, discomfort and suffering because of it. She told me I had to come back in for a refill appointment when the reason I was there 2 weeks previously was for these prescriptions, she didn't listen. She truly didn't seem to care about me only about herself I would NEVER see her or recommend her to anyone ever!!!
