Looking at the website it would appear that Dr Curry is accepting new patients but in calling her I have discovered she is not accepting new Medicare pts even though my supplemental insurance is one that she takes. I have a specific problem that I had hope she would consult and make recommendations for me but if I can’t get in to see her I don’t see how this will happen. It is concerning that you can get turned away because you are an elderly patient who no longer has insurance that is considered desirable.

Great GYN Physician!!!!
I have been seeing Dr. Curry as a patient for over 20 years. I first saw her as a patient in Jonesboro AR. She moved from my area a few years ago but I still drive 6 hours to see her as a patient. I book a hotel room and see her. Dr. Curry is a great Physician I highly recommend her! I think she is worth a Vacation Day from work, Gas for my Car and a Hotel Room.

The nurse who took my information was very rude, and because I have multiple chronic illnesses, my answers were not exactly typical, which made her very short with me. When I saw Dr. Curry she was very dismissive of my concerns and problems and questioned if it was really that bad. I felt like she was very condescending, and was not listening to what I had to say. She brushed me off as being too extreme and did not even do a physical exam. I cried in the car afterward, because I had gotten no answers or help, and it was overall a terrible experience. I would not recommend seeing her unless it's for a simple well-woman exam, because she is very dismissive of any issues.

Dr. Curry made me feel very at ease and my entire experience was actually pleasant. The rest of the staff was great, too.

Since my previous OB/GYN retired, I went to Dr Curry for yearly exam and to discuss bodily changes I’ve experienced lately. Dr Curry would not do routine bloodwork, as she said she would not prescribe any hormone medications regardless of blood work results. She said I was “too young to have hormone issues,” even after we discussed my medical history of undergoing fertility treatments a few years ago. I was literally speechless at her dismissal of my personal experience, and her assertion that *any* woman could not have abnormal hormone levels unless they’d passed some arbitrary age. As a former IUI/IVF patient, I am acutely aware of the role hormones play in a woman’s overall reproductive health, and cannot believe an actual OB/GYN would spew such nonsense to a new patient. Go elsewhere.

I moved to NWA from Atlanta and previously Michigan. Dr. Curry ranks at the top of the excellent gynecologists I had in Michigan and Atlanta. She listens to you during office visits and carefully makes suggestions. She recently did surgery for a prolapsed uterus and my recovery has been amazing. Dr. Curry does not rush you for surgery. Compassionate and logical.

Go elsewhere! She is a nice dr, but if you need something more complicated done than just a routine exam then that is where things start to go wrong. She is in too big of a hurry to get things done. Never enough time to do it right, but plenty of time to do it over. I had complications from my surgery with her, called the nurse, and was told to call back tomorrow. Do not recommend!!! Go elsewhere!

I met w/Dr. Curry on multiple occasions to discuss & treat my dysmenorrhea & I have been extremely disappointed w/my experience. I told her that there was a high likelihood that my body would not respond well when having an IUD inserted & she said it was highly unlikely that I would feel much pain at all. Minutes later I was pale & clammy & vomiting while on the bathroom floor- I was in extreme pain for 2 weeks after. I went in multiple times after it was placed to describe all of the adverse effects on my body but she assured me that everything would stabilize after 6 months. 8 months later & my body was still feeling terrible so I made an appointment to have it removed. This time she interrupted me while I was describing the adverse effects it had on my body & my protestations about taking another form of hormonal birth control (I have tried many & none have been good for my body). She prescribed me hormonal birth control and refused to help w/pain management. I would not recommend.

I just moved to the NWA area and established myself as a new patient with Dr. Curry. I was THOROUGHLY impressed with her consultation, bedside manner, and the small procedure I had done. She is very kind and it was evident she cares for her patients. She treated me like a friend as soon as we started chatting. I went to get a new form of birth control and was impressed with the explanation and pros/cons she provided me with for each option. Would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Curry to anyone in the area.
