Foot surgery needed to be redone
I had surgery for hammer toes and tailer bunion and was told I had a tiny pin in my baby toe. It took a very long time to heal and never healed correctly. A year later, an open sore developed between the baby toe and fourth toe, and my second toe was rubbing on my big toe, causing a red sore. The next time the open sore appeared, I had a nasty blister on my second toe. I went to see Dr. Barnes. She told me I had cellulitis and dismissed the blister on my second toe, telling me to use lambswool. I saw another podiatrist, and X-rays showed a sharp edge on the bone of a corrected hammer toe and two screws in my baby toe with the tip of the bone dislodged. I had another surgery to remove the screws and repair her surgery. I was distraught by these issues that were never going to get better. She did not consider the surgery, lied about having two screws in my toe, and did not investigate the cause of the painful blister saying to use lambswool. I do not recommend Dr. Barnes for surgery.

My last visit with Dr. Barnes was a pleasant experience. I was in a lot of pain due to inflamed bunion on both of my feet. Also, had pain from using a pumus stone to remove calluses improperly ..... Problems addressed immediately with first visit. I do need surgery in the future on removing the bunions and feel very comfortable having Dr. Barnes handle my problem. Office staff nice -- -- & clean environment I recommend highly!

DR BARNES IS FANTASTIC!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! The office staff needs to be sensitive to the patient whom is seeking pain relief and use a kinder softer approach instead of being so abrasive. If you can get past the harshness of office staff, you will be happy!!!!
