Dr Southerland is exceptional - the first time I saw him- it was a busy day. And he himself came in and let me know he was a little behind. NO doctor has ever done that. Usually a doctor would have the nurse do it, or with some drs (throughout my life wouldn't say anything.) Dr. Southerland also was thorough in explaining my MRI, test results and gave me hope with my newly diagnosis of FMD. I left feeling hopeful and that I was going to be well taken care of.

Dr. Southerland is an awesome Doctor. His bedside manner is amazing. This guy does not worry about money, but about the patient. I think he has been awesome with my husband. Very Very caring man. Cheers to UVA for having him on their staff!
