Dr. Andrew Rosenbaum, MD

I’ve been reluctant to write this but as it’s Boston Marathon week and I went to Dr as a semi elite runner still in my mid 40s (1:16 half as example), raising multiple thousands for cancer charity in honor of my deceased dad and no longer can run, here are my thoughts. Nice guy, great bed side manner, but that’s it for positives. I came to him in the fall of 2022. I had left heel pain and showed a heel spur. I tried rest, PRP, etc and still hurt. After meeting with Dr, he recommended surgery. I asked if this would impact my running career and he said no and recovery would just be a few months. With that I agreed. Got surgery end of Oct 2022 and said I would be back in Boston for marathon in April. Months go by and go to PT and my inside heel hurts. Whitney sees me and says recovery can be 12 months (never discussed by Dr). I see Dr and he says no idea why hurt. Have to go back for surgery in Sept 2023. Now he recommends to remove bandage in 2 days. I do and a week later blow a hematoma

Had this Dr as I entered Albany Med Emergency Rm He preformed surgery on my knee, a nightmare I had to ask for a splint to aid in my recovery and ask for therapy. I also had to request appointments. everything was 6 weeks out. no change ever. Went to OrthoNY for a corrective surgery, finally healing fast off crutches in 2 days healing perfectly Waste of time and money felt like another number at bone and joint... huge mistake will never go back.....
