Outstanding doctor
I have been a patient of Dr. Porges for almost 30 years. He is very caring and is easy to talk with. He has helped me so much over these years so I did not end up in a wheelchair. I do not know where I would be without him. His staff is excellent. Very accommodating to my needs. I would definitely recommend Dr. Porges to anyone suffering with any form of arthritis.

I was referred to Dr. Porges by my PCP after a positive ANA test. He immediately diagnosed me with limited scleroderma and said he didn’t even need to do a more specific blood test, because he was so sure that’s what it was. He did the test anyway, “just as a formality”, and after waiting for weeks, they released the results though MyChart which were negative. He never contacted me about the results, and I got the impression his ego was bruised because he was so confident about his clinical diagnosis. I had no idea there were other tests that could’ve been done, I just figured the ANA was a false positive. Now here I am, years later, with a systemic scleroderma diagnosis, which is much more serious. Because my current rheumatologist ordered all tests available, he was able to definitively diagnose me. Had Dr. Porges done further testing, I could have done more to slow down the progression of this likely terminal disease.

Dr Porges is kind, thorough and listens well. I have recommend him to many people I’ve encountered who have similar health issues. He has helped me tremendously. Great “bedside manner”!!

I am not easily impressed, but Dr. Porges impressed me. He is by far, one of the best doctors I have ever met. There is no question that he is at the top of his game. He took his time with me, thoroughly explained his findings, and furthermore identified medications that I have been on for years that were only supposed to be used short term. I was aghast that over the past 10 years not one doctor even considered the fact that my low WBC was caused by a medication that I should not have been on for longer than a month. Dr. Porges is the best and his staff is outstanding.

This office is terrible. The Dr. Accidently Called in 2 scrips of the same meds.. one was for 1 pill a day, the other was for 2 pills a day.It took 6 days of calling and leaving messages for everyone, every day to get an answer. They never called me back. The last day i starting calling every hour & Finally got someone. Then the dr calls in another script without giving me test results.I found out because i called my pharmacy about a different med.. also. his nurse called me with my results. Not him.
