I had been sick for months seeing him with him telling me I had women problems and liver disease even though it was never checked. 10 months later I lose 55 pounds in a month and can’t keep food or water down and they suggest a hida scan which took them 3 months to contact the people that they needed to. About a week later I was rushed into emergency surgery to have my gallbladder removed because nobody listened to me when I said I was in pain because as you know I’m a woman my genitalia must be my problem. My gallbladder was working at 3% when it should have been at 30%. He waited until I was dying to do anything, my heart rate dropped into the 40s which helped push the admission. What I find “funny” out of all of this was that I told him and his staff that I had a family history of gallbladder problems and that I should probably be checked and was told no no no you can’t get your family history. It doesn’t work that way.”, which left me and my husband completely stunned.

Dr. Pearson had the confidence and experience to perform a procedure in my sigmoid colon that a bigshot at Duke backed out of while I was on the table. Essentially, he rescued me from an ostomy. After just two days of recovery I feel better than I have in a year.

Excellent physician! Personable, friendly, answers all questions, great sense of humor, actively engages his staff in creating a calm and welcoming environment and in providing compassionate, light-hearted, positive-energy care. Too bad most patients will only experience his care once every 10 years!

I have been a patient of Dr. Pearson's for many years. He is an extraordinary physician with wonderful bedside manner. He goes out of his way to help his patients financially and he is genuinely empathetic. I imagine, If an individual had to hear bad new; it would be best coming from Dr. Pearson. He is a fabulous physician. The inside and outside office staff has always been wonderful as well.

Dr Pearson is thorough and I trust him to do a good job. Not quite as impressed with responses from the nurses line. Had a real issue that i wanted to discuss, complications following dismissal from the hospital. I just wanted advise before heading back to the ER. Two days and no call. Maybe if they are too busy they should shut own the nurse line. But again.. Dr Pearson is great. I will be heading to the ER i suppose.

I only met Dr. Pearson when I went in for my endoscopy. He didn't show a very good bed side manner. He didn't smile at all. He looked at me like I was just another number in the books he had to hurry up and finish. It was quite disappointing. Considering it was the first time we met he could have been a little nicer. I gave him 4 stars because the endoscopy went well and he found an ulcer and is treating it. Good luck if you choose him. If my next experience is any better I will share it.

Appointment Sept. 19, 2016 with PA. Discussions on stomach pain/IBS. Suggest moving up Colonoscopy date and blood work needed today. Sent downstairs for blood work for prompt draw. Only to find out wait time about one hour! Went back to office staff who directed me to Lab across street. Went across and had blood drawn. PA will get blood results and discuss with Dr. Pearson on next step and advise me of findings next day. No call back as of Oct. 3rd. Did leave msg. to call me...

If you just need a procedure done he is fine. Don't expect him to spend much time with you in the office appointment and don't expect him to get back to you with questions all the time. His nurse was good in the beginning with getting back to me but after the procedure when I faxed questions was told I had too many questions. It took 5 days to get that answer and was told I could not have an appointment with him so was given one with the Nurse Practitioner who actually listens better.

Overall a very good experience. This is the first time in 4 previous Colonoscopies that I had zero pain after the procedure. There had been gas pains in all 3 prior examinations, but none this time with Dr Pearson. Wonderful staff all the way around.
