Great Listener and Extremely Professional
Dr. Andrew Panakos was extremely attentive, professional and caring during my visit with him. Working in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology space especially in Boca Raton I had a lot of interactions and experiences with many of the Cardiologist's in the area. Dr. Panakos is just DIFFERENT. I was very concerned that I had something terribly wrong as I have family history of Abdominal Aortic Aneurisms in my family. I felt very much at ease after only 5 minutes discussing and explaining my symptoms with Dr. Panakos. He asked great questions, took down a very detailed family history and seemed very confident in what plan he had in place for me. I never felt rushed and he explained what we needed to do in a kind, precise and easy to understand manner. He made sure that I understood everything we discussed and what the next steps would be and who would be setting up my appointment in my CT scan my abdominal with contrast to rule out AAA. He is what every doctor should aspire to be!!!

GREAT GUY, VERY INFORMATIVE
MY HEART ATTACK WAS ON A SATURDAY NIGHT AT 9PM. I WAS HARDLY IN THE OPERATING ROOM AND THIS YOUNG DOCTOR APPEARED AND INTRODUCED HIMSELF AND A OLDER ASSISSTANT. DR PANAKAS EXPLAINED MY STINT PROCEDURE AND HOW I WOULD SPEND THE REST OF MY SATURDAY NIGHT. VERY COOL GUY, PROFESSIONAL.

Doctor is great. Staff is terrible
First appointment was cancelled as I was walking in due to an emergency. A 90 minute stress test took 6 hours due to the way they schedule. His office manager wanted me to submit my own insurance.

Felt like a number
He is a very good doctor , however when I joined his practice, I thought it was a group practice where I would be able to see another doctor in the practice with all my records, if he was not available. The reality is that when I needed him and he was on vacation, and I asked to see one of the other cardiologists in the office, I was told to go to the emergency room. That they only refill each other’s prescriptions.

Dr. Panakos Medical Assistant rudeness
Dr. Panakos is polite, knowledgeable, professional, kind, and understanding. I met with him after my primary care dr. recomended I see a cardiologist after going to the ER with b/p of 200. Unfortunately, his medical assistant Dell or Dale - don't know which is the complete opposite. On my visit, she called me in, sat me down in the hallway, next to the b/p machine and that is where my visit took place. I was shocked. I didn't know the dr. wasn't seeing me. I smiled and asked her when to take my b/p med. at home, and when to take my b/p - a.m. or p.m She never introduced herself, was short, curt, and inexplicably rude. I had to ask her name. I didn't feel comfortable asking her more since we were having our discussion in the hallway by the receptionist and people walking by. I smiled again, I tried to explain the regimen I was following was prescribed by my primary care physician and I wanted reassurance about re-arranging the b/p schedule, and she said I could do whatever I want.
