I would give negative stars if available.
Very disappointed. I had my appointment to review my venous ultrasound. I expressed concerns with my allergies, and he asked if I had a lawyer on retainer. This should have been my first clue that he didn't want to perform the procedure. So instead, he led me to believe they were getting the precertification from Medicare. I followed up once and was told, nothing had been approved yet. The second time, I was told I was denied. I inquired about the denial letter, so that I could follow up with Medicare. They were unable to provide it. I have now confirmed with Medicare that there was NOT a precertification sent. This whole ordeal took 6 weeks. So, I have had to suffer, while they played a waiting game with me. I now have another appointment with a different vascular surgeon and group.

Short, abrupt answers. Left feeling dismissed.
Visit was due to recent changes in my leg after having 2 DVTs in 2009. I knew about post thrombotic syndrome, expected this was my issue, but wanted a medical opinion since I have other venous anomalies that complicate my situation. Wanted confirmation of my hunch, and insight on best practices for now & as I age. How to prevent & treat. Red flags to look for and how to avoid future issues. What changes to expect from my condition as I age. His answers were short and abrupt, answering "compression" to every question. No elaboration or explanation. I got the feeling he though my concerns were trivial and I was wasting his time. "So you've read about post thrombotic syndrome? Then you know that's what this is right?" The first time I've been told by a Dr to take advise from the internet!
