Terrible experience. He failed to run certain tests by his own admission that could have eliminated post surgery complications. He ruined my hip for life.

Very uncaring and cold doctor
While the hip surgery went ok, I received the worst after care treatment. I have all these new problems I didn't have before the hip replacement, and Dr Kim and his rude assistant simply blew me off by saying it's because I have anxiety. They got their money so they obviously no longer have to care that what they did caused me even worse pain. I'm so beyond regretful that I had this surgery performed by this man. I'm also never going anywhere to get help for my anxiety because obviously I'm just crazy and I imagined all this new pain I have, according to Dr Kim. I'd give him zero stars if I could. He was a horrible, uncaring doctor and I'm sure my opinion means nothing but I wanted to post this anyways.

Saw Dr. Kim for my hip. He listened to what I had to say, answered my questions and offered details I did not think to inquire about. He said replacement was an option but that he had seen worse and suggested that I try a cortisone shot and therapy first. Grateful for his suggestion rather than immediately pushing surgery. He is very personable and was totally unrushed making sure that I had a complete explanation of my condition and understood my options. I would highly recommend him.

Dr Kim scared me at first because he told me the truth and I was afraid of surgery. However, Dr. Kim saved my knee and helped me have a functional life. He was highly recommended by the nurses at Edward Hospital, who told me he was the doctor they would choose for orthopedic surgery. He cares about his patients and even sent me a note of encouragement the morning of follow up plastic surgery. No doctor has ever done that. I strongly recommend Dr. Kim - I have trusted him with my life and will be forever grateful.

Dr, Kim did hip surgery on me recently. I feel great, am walking with a cane and going to therapy. Overall, he is a excellent surgeon, but lacks some interpersonal skills. is in a hurry, and does not always spend enough time with you. SO, overall, he has a 3.5 grade.

Dr Kim performed a hip replacement surgery on my left hip. His staff was great. Edward Hospital and the nurses were wonderful. I would recommend anyone needing this surgery to have the surgery performed by Dr Kim. I can't say enough about this doctor. He answered all my questions his mannerism was comforting .

Two hip replacement surgeries - March 4 and October 7 this year. Both due to pervasive arthritis. Utilizing the anterior approach to surgery plus quality workmanship resulted in significantly reduced downtime. Walking with assistance immediately after surgery. Without assistance after two weeks. Thank you Dr. Kim.

Very arrogant and dismissive because I didn't fit the parameters of his ideal patient. Disregarded the severe pain i was experiencing and told me to go lose some weight.

I'm not happy with him he told me I had a hematoma and if not gone down in 3 months to come back. I scheduled my appointment explained what he told me so he can remove it. I get there he had me exercising my leg and kept asking if I was weak in that leg I told him no for the 5th time and he seemed surprised saying he don't know what's going on with my leg because it should of gone down. So he then told me to call my insurance company and get an approval for a MRI and then come back. Waist of tim

I don't agree with the last post from Steve Wu at all. In fact, Dr Kim was the complete opposite with all my visits. He was nice, personable, knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions as it pertained to my arthritic hip. This was a month before the last review was given. I decided to go with Dr. Kim with my full hip replacement on 2/22. 4 weeks later I am now off both my walker and cane and started exercising again. I feel like a new man.

My visit w/ Dr. Kim was a complete waste of time. He had his mind made re: my diagnosis before he entered the room. He refused to t listen to me. He belittled my pain, saying that people came through his office with a lot more pain. He absolutely was NOT a patient advocate. When I tried to provide info about my history, he dismissed that immediately, since it didn't fit his preconceived diagnosis. Worst medical experience in many many years. Ignorance and arrogance personified.

I went to Dr. Kim with a knee injury. He immediately knew it was a torn meniscus. After confirming it with an MRI, he also performed my surgery. I was told that there was a 90% chance he had to remove it, which was worse case scenario. After I came out of surgery, he told me he was able to repair it and scope my knee. I was on crutches for 6 months but I'm 100% happy with his repair. It's been 4 years now and my knee has given me ZERO problems! Dr. Kim did an amazing job

Dr. Kim has replaced both my knees and did a rotator cuff on my left shoulder, starting with my right knee in 2000. So far so good, I can do almost anything except crawl around on my hands and knees. I can crawl but it is hard for me to get up and down from the floor.
