Poor Choice; Look Elsewhere
It’s almost like once Dr. Heritch evaluates you and comes to his own conclusion, he is absolutely inflexible in changing your course plan. He doesn’t care what you have to say, and you’re in & out within 3 minutes. It seems he doesn’t really like people. Not the best trait for a mental health doctor. I don’t recommend him at all, go to someone who will listen to you. The staff is cordial though.

Originally started going to him for depression, but I began to suspect that I might have ADHD (confirmed with separate therapist) and he was completely dismissive and wouldn't even consider the possibility.

Not sure what review title means?
Overall very good. Like that he doesn't over diagnose you. Had a Psychiatrist who gave me 2 totally false diagnosis! (She hardly even talked to me.) Dr. Heritch asked me appropriate questions on my first appointment. Has been helpful with my medications. Staff have been very nice. Retired social worker - Feb. 2024

Put my mental health at Risk
Doctor Heritch is fine. His staff is incompetent. Multiple times he has told me scripts would be called in and multiple times his staff has failed to do so or called in to the wrong pharmacy then lied about it. They do not take the patient's mental health seriously. They are incompetent

Helped with medical overdosing
Was extremely helpful in condensing my medication regimen in half. Took me off meds that were by now not doing anything and gave me new confidence in treating my mental difficulties.

Doesn't Even Pretend to Care
Doesn't listen, doesn't even pretend to care about you, asks you very little questions, and sends you on your way with a script. If the drug he prescribed doesn't work he'll double down and have you take a higher does. If that doesn't work he'll max you out on that drug and have you "see how it goes" for 3 months. I do not recommend this person as a provider.

Former Patient with Regrets – Aug 15, 2022

Basic pill pusher doctor, will not tell you what you're diagnosed with and has no social skills. I get the impression he finds his patients crazy. I was an adolescent when I saw him and he kept increasing my medication dose even though I expressed it was not working for me. I don't know why he's a Doctor, he has no compassion. I had expressed I was being abused and he did not ask any questions or report the abuse like he is mandated to. Hopefully he will retire soon.

I was a patient for several years. I was not comfortable that he did not "believe" in making any diagnosis. He treated only symptoms, and even then was slipshod.

Dr. Heritch is not an effective psychiatrist. He is a poor communicator, doesn't explain things, barely answers questions, and doesn't ask the questions I expect a mental health professional to ask in order to understand the patient.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Heritch?
I was a first time patient with Dr. Heritch, and was extremely disappointed in my experience with him. He sat down with me for 15 minutes and proceeded to make a complete diagnosis, without bothering to contact my physician or my psychologist (who had diagnosed me with something completely different). He has a very cold demeanor, and only seems interested in getting patients in and out as quickly as possible.
