don't expect anything from this office
I was referred to neurology back in January but the nearest appt they had was in April, so I searched for other neurologists with sooner availability I could get a referral to. Dr. Gin had availability in February. My first appointment with him I spent maybe half an hour with his assistant then saw him for less than 10 minutes. He described himself as a way station and encouraged me to keep my April appointment. He did a quick intro neuro exam, but didn't address my primary concern or seem interested in getting a medical history. I had a follow up where I saw him for maybe 5 minutes, he mentioned I should go to the ER or needed a neurosurgeon, but did not actual refer me to either or give me instruction on what to do. I received not actual treatment, received no plan for anything. My appointment with a different provider today was exceptional, they took a full history of my issues, made a plan to address my primary concern, and acted to provide a plan for treatment of current symptoms.

Very Angry
'Kristie' is horribly rude and incompetent. She sent the MRI request to the wrong place and it got denied. I called my insurance to ask why and they never received anything. They took Dr. Gin's information and where the MRI was going to happen and set the whole thing in motion. I sent the website, fax and phone number to Kristie in an email. All Dr. Gin had to do was call the right place. This upset 'Kristie' and she raised her voice and cussed on the phone because a patient did her job. This office seems to have a negative view of the world and exhibits psychomotor agitation, with over-dramatic affect and mood combined with a lack of social skills. They also lack impulse control with an inability to hold back angry feelings. Now I have to go somewhere else and start over, hopefully without the Cluster-B

The receptionist and woman that performed the EEG were very kind & explained everything to me in detail. Dr. Gin & his wife, Lisa, were the complete opposite although Lisa did advise me on how to move forward with Indian Health Services which is helpful. I had a seizure in August & had disclosed I smoke medical mj. All of my concerns were ignored & everything was blamed on my mj usage. Lisa exclaimed “you don’t do that often, do you?” & told me that I could die if I keep smoking b/c it is “laced with fentanyl” which is not factual. Dr. Gin pushed the same agenda & shamed me my whole visit. I didn’t dispute any of their claims, but simply requested that we discuss my EEG results as I was hoping for help, not discussion of my mj usage which I’d have been receptive to if I was provided literature on the negative effects & even assistance on how to quit. I explained I have C-PTSD, high stress, possible fibromyalgia, & endometriosis which can cause seizures as well. This was ignored & met with sarcasm. My profession was brought up & Dr. Gin stated “you and I are smart people, right? We could come out with a new product & tell people it’s good & they would buy it. Do they ever tell you? ‘this product is on sell because it’s bad’, no, they tell you it’s all good” in regards to dispensaries. This discussion was not welcome on my end & I made it very clear it made me uncomfortable. When I asked if I could please discuss my results, Dr. Gin replied “it’s okay” to which I stated “the EEG is okay?” & he said “yup. It’s okay” & walked me out. I feel like I was very respectful although I did advocate for myself. I waited over 3 months for this appointment & all I got was disrespect & likely, a high bill. They provided the service I was referred to them for, but nothing else.. I left the office trying not to cry as I have been looking forward to finding answers & left with a negative stigma & bias pushed on me. Very unprofessional! I’m unsure why I was treated like this & it makes me feel unsafe to provide my personal medical history with them.

What stood out about my visit is thst this doc refused to answer any of my questions. Stood the whole time, maybe 6 or 7 minutes. Ordered a bunch of unnecessary tests. Canceling next appt.

Excellent physician for migraine and other Neuro i
I had symptoms of a neurological condition. Dr Gin saw me, then referred me to University of Nebraska, Omaha, Chief of Neurology for a multidisciplinary evaluation. I was able to go to Omaha two weeks after referral was made. Saw the neurologist there. Returned 6-8 weeks later and was seen by two neurologists, ENT physician, Speech Pathologist, and had extensive testing done. This was well worth the trip to Omaha. Several conditions were excluded due to the testing. I continue to be followed by Dr Gin.

Dismissing and accusatory
I was sent to Dr. Gin for workers comp claim for migraines. The nurse wouldn’t allow my wife to come back and said spouses aren’t allowed for workers comp claims because they “see dollar signs for workers comp and don’t like what we tell them.” Visit with doctor and nurse was less than 10 minutes. Nurse and doctor both said that my migraines are from medication. The medication was prescribed after 6 months of migraines...for migraines. Neither doctor or nurse would listen and were very dismissive saying they’ve “seen it a thousand times”. I would not recommend this office.

I have been most impressed with Dr. Gin. When I first saw him, he immediately diagnosed and prescribed for my illness. He has successfully treated my illness and I couldn't be more satisfied with the process. He is very attentive to my questions and responds in a way that I understand. I couldn't be happier with my association with Dr. Gin. His office is well organized and run and is always clean. I have to give him 5 stars for his care.

We were Highly Impressed with Dr Gin and his Professional Staff. He is very thorough while conducting his examinations explaining what he was doing and looking for. He is Kind and Considerate of You the Patient. He is very knowledgeable and has the experience to know first hand as he is making his initial diagnosis. The patient care and treatment is what his attention is centred on. Oklahoma is very fortunate to have such a Physician and his Expertise. His Nurse Lisa is very sharp as she interviews the patient and goes into detail as she gathers your history and symptoms. His Office Staff are the absolute best! These Ladies go way Above and Beyond to assist the patient and their caregiver. They are very personable and help to make your visit Comfortable. These Folks are just like your own Hometown People. They make you feel at ease you are treated as a Person and not just another Patient. We were Very Impressed and Highly Recommend Dr Gin and his Outstanding Staff.

Dr. Gin restored my faith in doctors. My son suffered major seizures and was sent home by an opposing hospital. Dr. Gin spent quality time with my son and myself and explained it all in understandable terms. He has a true Holistic concern for the patient and their family which is a rare quality in these times. His staff is so understanding and worked my son in earlier knowing how upset I was over my son. They showed compassion; His nurse is understanding and listened . I would recommend this Dr

Guy’s a jerk. Didn’t even shake my hand when entering or leaving my room. He’s arrogant and likes to talk down to patients. Since he’s a physician, he knows it all! AVOID!!!! You can definitely find a More compassionate neurologist in the OKC area.

Dr Gin seems like a nice enough guy who can treat your basic neurology complaints but would not recommend him for anything more than that. He chose not to recognize my diagnosis (which was made by a highly specialized team of doctors) and instead said I had an unknown condition. Other than not being able to accomplish anything at the appointment and it being an absolute waste of both our time, he seems friendly, his staff is friendly. I had to wait 30 min past my scheduled appt.

Was sent to him for neural workup due to Meniere's disease. Never felt like Dr Gin had a decent bedside manner and never felt he was really listening to my issue. I live 2 hours away. Checked my eyes, balance, etc. Said all was fine. Eeg was fine. Did a 1 month chart where I'd have vertigo attacks every 5 days, recorded all the details of that. But he said that was perfectly fine too and couldn't help but come back in 30 days to ask me if a new ENT was treating my ears. What a joke!

This was first time getting EMG done by Dr. Gin. I had previous ones by others that were extremely painful and long and drawn out. This was not the case with Dr. Gin. He made it the least painful as possible and was able to do it much faster. You can tell he has lots of experience with EMG's and is able to minimize the discomfort the patient has to feel. His staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and kind! Rare these days to find a good Dr. And good staff in one package!

I would absolutely NOT recommend Dr. Gin to ANYONE. First, as a new patient, I came in with a migraine and they kept me waiting in the lobby for approximately an hour (with bright lights and noise). Then, when I finally did see him all he did was tell me my case was too complicated and he wouldn't "touch" my case. I was like, "Then why did u have me come in?!" They could've easily told me over the phone that they wouldn't b about to help me and refer me to someone else.
