Dr. Andrew Francella, MD

This is my mother’s doctor. No one has returned our messages through the portal or left through Summit’s ridiculous call center. I finally got a call weeks later from a nurse who was filling in and noticed my unreturned call. We scheduled a telehealth visit. We got all of the email reminders, the request for pre visit forms, and confirmations. Logged on for visit and no one showed up. I read another recent review by someone who was also ghosted during a telehealth visit. It takes a lot of coordination to organize appts for my elderly mother. We’ll be switching. Stay away from Summit Health.

I waited several weeks for my appointment today with Dr. Andrew Francella. The appointment was for 3:20 PM. The office manager left me a voicemail, then called my husband at his job. They wanted me to come in earlier if possible. It took me 15 mins to get through all the prompts and nonsense to leave a message. The office finally called me back and asked me if I could come in 12:30pm. Then they called again and said it would be 1:00pm. Then, like a phone prank, they said not to leave the house until further notice! The office manager calls again to tell me that Dr. Francella will do a virtual call at 2:20pm. Never came! Unbelievably, Dr. Francella left a voice message at 3:41pm saying that a zoom meeting was not set up by his staff. What?Why is it that patients have to pay a monetary fee for a “no show” yet a Doctors office can string you along for an entire day with NO results.

I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Andrew Francella. From the moment I walked into his office, I felt welcomed and cared for. Dr. Francella took the time to listen attentively to my concerns and thoroughly explained my diagnosis and treatment options in a way that was easy to understand. His professionalism, compassion, and expertise made me feel confident I was in the best hands.He was patient, never rushed the appointment, and answered all of my questions thoughtfully. The staff was also incredibly friendly and efficient, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. Thanks to Dr. Francella's care, my symptoms have improved significantly, and I feel better than I have in months.I highly recommend Dr. Francella to anyone seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate gastroenterologist. Truly a top-notch doctor!

Great informative first visit, then completely unreachable from then on. Impossible to reach doctor or staff. Got call center in another country, still no callback. No one called back, even when we cancelled wife's colonoscopy. Wife and I cancelled our colonoscopies. No confidence at all. RUN AWAY.

I am a relatively new patient for Dr. Francella since my last GI doctor retired. I've had a recent flare of Crohn's disease and Dr. Francella has been very attentive and helpful. He called me on the weekend to check in, which I didn't expect and truly appreciated. To have a doctor who is interested in your suffering and sincerely wants to help you improve is a rare thing these days.

It has been a horrible experience and I may just cancel my colonoscopy. Worst patient care I have ever experienced. No information despite asking in westmed portal emails several times. The Doctor did not even have the courtesy to call after all the mishaps. Doesn't leave me confident that my surgery will go well or the right insurance papers were ever filed.

Worst experience ever, impossible to get a call back on ultrasound results (which he said was urgent). I must of tried to reach his nurse ten times over one week. Then did blood tests, two weeks impossible to reach. I was told finally by an answering service in Charlotte that results mailed to my house. Not even a follow up call. The joke is he says to you when you see him, that we should ask to speak to him. He is never ever available and nor is his nurse. Stay away. Isaac L
