I am grateful to Dr. Vicara at Broward community Medical Center in Plantation for referring me to what turns out to be one of the highest rated orthopedic surgeon who completed a full hip replacement and I'm practically back to normal in two weeks so again I thank him and his staff And Dr. Vicara for referring me anyone that would go to him for orthopedic surgery can expect the best care and outcome

Dr. Ellowitz toke care of our son at Kendall Regional Hospital after sport injury resulting in severe fracture. Prior to Surgery Dr. Ellowitz was reassuring , patience and explained all the details of the surgery and follow up process. Today our son has been discharged from his services confident to move forward with full function of his arm. We are very grateful to him and his wonderful staff for the excellent service. Dr. Andrew Ellowitz...is a true "healer."

Having difficulty walking I thought I needed help with my knee as that was where I thought the pain was. After spending time with Dr. Ellowitz he sent me for x-rays with Judy. Judy was very professional and helpful. Afer reviewing the x-rays and checking for range of motion of my leg, The doctor felt a hip replacement was someting I should consider. He gave me a shot for my knee to see if that would help. After 2 weeks of the pain returning and not improving, I went back to the office to schedule surgery. Again, Dr. Ellowitz went over all the details. Jen was extremely help with all of the things involved and getting me the equipment that was needed. The surgery was as was explained and they get you right up walking. I followed the exercises, walking, and medication that was prescibed. I was walking with just the cane, after giving up the walker, after 2.5 weeks. It is now 8 weeks post surgery and I am back to walking my 5 miles per day without the cane.

This is the third shoulder surgery I've had, and this is the first time I used Dr. Ellowitz to repair my rotator cuff tear and this is the first time I woke up after surgery without pain or nausea. He gave me a nerve block which worked well and numbed my arm, the last two doctors I had surgery for the same procedure did not do that. It made a world of difference and took the fear of surgery away from me. I went home feeling no pain and had a question for Dr. Ellowitz but it was after hours, so I called his office and left a message to call me back, he called back in less than 5 minutes and answered my question. Any future surgeries I need Dr. Ellowitz will be my surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Ellowitz if you need any type of orthopedic surgery.

I love doc Ellowitz. I had just did acl reconstruction surgery and I had s great experience and no complications. He has great bed side manners and he checks up on his patients to make sure that their okay and feeling good.

It is seldom that I would take time and write about the job performance of a professional but the compassion ,knowledge and attention that I received from dr Ellowitz is NOTHING I had ever experienced before. Not only did he do a tremendous job,but he walked me through every facet of expectation of the procedure and aftermath. Dr. Ellowitz is the best not only is her surgery top notch but he has great bedside manner, which is hard to find nowadays. He did a knee replacement surgery on my right knee September of 2015 and at Broward Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale. His staff made all of the arrangements and everything went over A+. His amazing staff does great follow-up especially his surgery coordinatir, Jennifer. All in all it was a great experience and I would do it again without hesitation.

I am very grateful to have found Dr.Ellowitz. With many problems and having seen many Dr's in 2 years and gotten nowhere. Within one week of my initial visit Dr Ellowitz wrote 2 referrals 4 x-rays and nerve conduction studies. it's one week since my initial visit and the extra x-rays have already been taken. I have faith again that something might get done. I am very excited about the future

His office is a disaster! Went to see him two times and never actually got past the front desk! I wasted 3 hours of my life traveling to this office and never saw the doctor. They had an incorrect phone number for me and said I missed my first appt then when I rescheduled, I waited in the waiting room for an hour and wasn't any closer to getting on the door than the lady sitting next to me who had been there 45 mins before me!!!!! I took my records and will see a dr who respects my time!
