Dr. Andrew El-Hayek, MD

My father was inpatient at UMASS after a fall resulting in an L1 burst fracture in his spine. Up until his care was transfered to Dr. El Hayek, the stay was marked with horrible compounding experiences with the staff for both my father and our family. Dr. El Hayek is clearly passionate about patient care and has taken a very Humanistic approach at least with my father. He treated him, taking into account the whole patient, ensuring prioritization of both my father's health and quality of life. His strength of character was evident in the effort and time he spent mediating both his patient's concerns and the multiple specialist charged with my father's care. I cannot emphasize enough the lasting impact that this doctor had on our family.
