Thank you Dr. Duffy
Dr Duffy is an excellent surgeon and a wonderful, caring person. I had hernia repair, splenectomy surgery one month ago and I am so grateful for Dr Duffy, his staff, his amazing team at the hospital and his very efficient nurse Tashida.

After years of being misdiagnosed Dr. Duffy found that I had a paraesophageal hernia (type 4) including gastric volvulus and his team was able to perform minimally invasive surgery to put my colon, stomach and pancreas in their proper spot and repair the hernia. I didn’t even know this condition existed. I am only 2 weeks out of surgery with a minimal amount of discomfort. If left untreated this condition has a high mortality rate. Dr. Duffy, he’s the doctor you need!

This is my opinion, please make up your own mind. I will never go back to this person, he was arrogant, rude, insulting, vindictive, and clearly not up on all of the latest procedures. How he is the head of the barbaric surgery department, I don't know. Also taking advice on weight loss and weight loss surgery from a doctor who hasn't managed his own weight issues makes you really wonder. Not only did he arrive at our scheduled appointment over an hour late, and then didn't apologize. He pr

Dr. Duffy and his team were wonderful. He and his team want to know that you are dedicated to the procedure you choose and help to educate you in that choice. I had some concerns after surgery as I did not feel well and the team was conscientious and caring. They pushed me, but in a way that still felt safe and supportive. I'm very glad I made the decision to better my life with the help of Dr. Duffy and the wonderful team at Yale.

Dr. Andrew Duffy of Yale Bariatric GI Surgery is an excellent, highly skilled, and caring surgeon. The experience I had, every step of the way, was stellar. The laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication surgery with hiatal hernia repair was a very smooth procedure owing to his expertise and clear instructions. I am free of ppi meds and free of acid reflux. I highly recommend Dr. Andrew Duffy and am forever grateful to him.

Although supposedly a good surgeon, his arrogance and that of his residents under him is troubling. He and his team are miserable, rude and possess no bedside demeanor and also walk around as they are God. Hospitalized for 15 days, I finally saw him 90 seconds before going under in OR!!! When you are sick, stress shouldn't play into seeing your doctor!! They need a reality check on life and how not to speak to patients as though they are morons!!!!!

I had a close family member who he did an operation on, placed a few calls over 1 week asking for this specific doctor too call me out of concern & questions I had, he never once returned any of my phone calls himself, his office staff isn't much better either. Very insensitive and very unprofessional. Perhaps on a medical stand this dr. might be pretty good at what he does but on a personal level very poor bedside manners. Doesn't seem to care family members worry about their loved ones.

He is arrogant, obnoxious, officious, rude, and generally unpleasant. In addition the bariatric group is disorganized and lacks interest in the patient. They presented a procedure as an option that they no longer provide. Because I was above the age on which they will perform bariatric surgery, for reasons unknown they scheduled appointments that I attended that proved unnecessary even though they had evidence of my age in the original application.
