Dr. Decker has horrible bedside manner. That can and is usually evidence of competence. NOT IN THIS CASE! My mom has hydrocephalus (water on the brain). Decker did a spinal tap to relieve pressure, did not contact us for a week until i called A FULL WEEK! HE ASKED IF SHE WAS SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER. How do you answer that? He blew me off. Second opinion a little attention and my mom has been able to function semi-normal life with health aids just now becoming necessary. Four extra years of quality of life!!! Getting tough now (NOW!!!!) THX "DR. DECKER)" HOW DO YOU SLEEP!!!!

I would certainly recommend him. He listens and is so helpful. He recommended an MRI.; I took it and he followed through with an evening phone call explaining the results. A special physician

Dr. Decker responds to emails immediately (even on a Sunday). Very thorough and pays attention to detail. Very cautious with my condition. I am very comfortable with this doctor. I don't know how some of these reviews say he has bed bedside manners. He is such a nice doctor with a caring personality.

I would never recommend this Doctor-l had a traumatic brain injury and was diagnosed with post concussion syndrome-l was seen by this dr for 3 months and returned to work-immediatly l knew it was a mistake for l was not well-l told him on many visits of this and that l couldn't resume my job activities and that because my job was risky l was afraid of another injury-l begged and pleaded for him to change my rate of disability and let me leave cmy position-he refused to do so and 5 mths from the first injury l recieved another tbi and now have 24 hr scull spasms and cranial neuropathy which is chronic unfortunately this could have been avoided

Dr Decker has a very dry personality. Met him for the first time and he walked into the room without introducing himself or acknowledging me. Very formal and business-like. Got right down to business. No eye contact. Kept his eye on the computer monitor typing away. Very robotic in the way he talks. Felt like I was wasting his time. He also seemed defensive at times and condescending. To deal with people, you also have to be able to connect with your patient. He has poor bedside manners. Had a procedure done and when he completed it, he just got up and walked out of the room. Very dismissive attitude. He may be intelligent but he lacks emotional intelligence. The staff was friendly and the office is clean.

My Mom had Alzheimer's and Dr.Decker prescribed an anti-psychotic, with black box warning against use for dementia patients. This was to"help" her with anxiety and sleep (my mother was never combative except in a few rare moments over months). She was barely able to walk from this med and became more confused than ever. He switched to another anti-psychotic w black box warning she lost her mobility/more confused and died of bed sores shortly after.

Dr. Decker has treated myself as well as 2 other members of my family for epilepsy for a number of years and has been great. He might not be the most outgoing but he is smart and caring. He takes into consideration what I need mentally, but doesn't give into what I want if it's not safe for me. He was also amazing when I was without insurance for a year!

We are most interested in information not bedside manner. However, this Dr. had neither. The Dr. came in, did not answer questions and did not have follow up appointment as promised afterwards. This is after waiting several months for an appt because he had come highly recommended. He prescribed meds without asking about other drugs. A good pharmacist told us it would not be a wise choice to take this.
