Dr. Chu is an amazing and caring pediatric gastroenterologist. He genuinely cares about my daughter’s stomach issues and works diligently to find a solution. He is comfortable to talk to and she appreciates his gentle nature. We have been seeing him for several years and believe he is an excellent doctor. We highly recommend him.

Dr. Chu is hands down one of the best doctors I have ever worked with providing care to my child. He listens and truly cares about my son's well-being. We had our first surgery ever with him and he calmed my fears more than ever expected. I completely trust him and the staff at Texas Childrens.

Dr. Chu is a lazy doctor, who will make no attempt to find the cause of your child’s illness. I told him my child reacted poorly to gluten. He pretended to care, then later accused us of wrongdoing based on literally no fact. He didn’t even check our child for the celiac markers. Our pediatric neurologist later ran the Celiac panel only to find that all of the celiac autoantibodies were very high nearly 8 months after we had completely removed gluten from my daughter’s diet. Another gastroenterologist later told us there was no way she didn’t have celiac disease. We chose not to do the biopsies nor pursue an actual diagnosis as she had obvious reactions to gluten and knew feeding it to her again and anesthesia could be harmful. If you are looking to be mistreated by a lazy doctor, then go see Dr. Chu. He is a horrible human and pathetic doctor.

I honestly can not say enough nice things about Dr. Chu and his two nurses (Andrea & Ashley). My child is so sick but the silver lining is she has excellent medical care. He & his staff are calm, friendly, & accessible. Dr. Chu is so knowledgeable, He has lots of ideas, is open to suggestions or changes, listens really well, is a great communicator, and importantly for me, values parent input. He's just outstanding. I can't recommend him enough.
