Dr. Andres Alvarado, MD

This is the best pain management MD in this town. He is off for the week of Christmas that I was not aware of so I posted something on Facebook to find out and his wonderful wife saw it and he personally called me to address my needs. You do not get that type of service anymore! Also every time I go to the office they are so kind and my visit with the MD is always great.

He is a wonderful caring physician who should never have received any complaint. He is our only pain management for rare diseases and pain control. Our community of patients will be in real trouble if he is removed from practice by medical board only because he is a pain management doctor. He is excellent.

Office staff is extremely rude. I wish it improved from there. When you finally get into the exam room there are signs to intimidate you. Don’t walk, run from this extremely poorly run money making scheme.

Went in with recommendations from a very prominent spine surgeon. Dr Alvarado would not even talk about those recommendations. He only wants to push narcotics. Amazing considering he is only a anesthesiologist. You would think he would listen to a much more experienced doctor. Apparently he would rather make the quick buck writing prescriptions, part of the problem not the solution. Pick someone else.

I’ve seen DrA for 5 plus years now. His staff are some of the nicest people I’ve met. They are a joy to see when I go to my appointments. Show respect always and that’s what you’ll receive back. DrA is quite the Dr. . He’s a character but give him a few visits. He’s extremely intelligent and interesting if you get a minute to chat with him. I’ve watched him with some of his older wheelchair bound people and the compassion is there! We have moved to Washington state recently but we will be returning to see drA . I’ve seen two pain management drs while here and to compare them with DrA is impossible. Dr A and his staff have shown more care more compassion than any dr I’ve seen in wa state. If I need to I will make the drive.

We are in a very uncertain time. We live longer and therefore many of us suffer from the rough life we led when we were younger. That to many is pain. And PAIN HURTS - NO ONE WANTS IT! Dr. Alvarado and his staff run one of the most efficient offices in town.. Now wait, Yes I have waited over an hour. But most of the time the wait is short and the staff is always pleasant (if you treat them with respect)! There are some really rude patients out there.... I have been seeing Dr Alvarado for several years now. He has helped me dial in my pain control so that I can function daily, hold down a demanding job in healthcare, and probably most importantly - he has helped me to be able to enjoy my kids and all their energy!! So, if you want a good doctor that cares about his profession and his patients - here is your man. Be kind to his staff and you will see just how great they are. Be honest with the doctor and you will see how smart he is! Thank you Colorado Pain Management!!

A doctor with a sense of humor. Recently moved to Havasu and am very please with this doctor. I am normally so nervous to see my doctors. Excited to get off the meds and get some shots done.

Dr Alvarado is a caring pain management dr, he is very knowledgeable about how to treat his pt & knows when someone is abusing the drug system. I highly recommend him to treat someone who needs relief with pain

RUN AWAY FROM HIM AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!!! Worst doctor ever! Darn near paralyzed me! Doesn't believe what the patient says about their pain or conditions. Is rough with patients and rude. I give him one star only because I HAVE to give him something in order to leave a comment.

Horrible doctor and staff. I was charged $500 for a 5min consultation after waiting an hour & wasnt even able to get an injection. All he kept pushing on was narcotics, which I was refusing I just wanted an injection for my back pain. I was yelled at by one of the office staff, the office is dirty and disgusting. Then someone from the office called my place of employment & left a msg with a co worker about a follow up appt and that I needed to make sure I bring another $350 for the next appt. I DO NOT recommend this doctor or his office.

I have been a patient since he opened in havasu, over 10 years ago. best doctor and I have been to CA, Vegas, Phoenix. 6 back surgeries later. the wait to see him is long at times but not sure what I would do without dr. Alvarado.

He is rude and could careless about his patients. His own words we are not a sectorial service when I asked if they could call my prescription provider about having a script faxed, this office is incapable of faxing a script! I was then told if you don’t like find another doctor, these are the words coming from the doctor and the staff is not any better. So much for caring for your patients and their needs, he does not care. I would not send my dog to this office.

Horrible Doctor- Rude, curses non stop, very inappropriate sexual talk to staff and patients. The front staff is very rude and unprofessional as well. He is clueless on what he is prescribing. I had to explain what how the medication worked.

Great doctor always puts a smile on my face. If you are looking to abuse pills or constantly ask for increases in meds this is not your place. This doctor is honest and blunt but caring and even funny! Lots of rules and long wait times but that is just the case with pain meds these days.
