Dr. Andre Matthews, MD

Dr. Andre Matthews is a great surgeon. He did my hip replacement surgery in 2010. And my hip adjustment surgery in 2020 when I fell and loosened my prosthetic hip. He did my knee surgery in 2020 and my husband's knee surgery in 2020. Everything went GREAT. Our after-care was also GREAT. I totally trust Dr. Matthews. He has excellent staff working with him. They have been the same staff from 2010 to 2020 and they remembered me after 10 years between needs.

I had two knee replacement they were very hard but I’m doing good dr Mathews isn’t a people person but he knows what he is doing my husband getting ready for shoulder surgery Becky is the best and so is Lindy

Had knee replacement surgery and almost immediately felt that the knee was loose. Dr. did a revision and put in a thicker plate. Same outcome. Dr. said it was my fault because my tendon was "too stretchy" and I needed to exercise more. Other surgeons recommended a complete revision and when that was done (with another Dr.) the prosthesis practically fell out-not to mention that the tendon was either cut or torn. Completely different out come. Can't recommend Dr. Matthews-Becky is awesome!

This has been the worst experience of our lives - 6 months of being strung along. Enough is Enough! If you can't do the work QUIT! Find a doctor who understands pain and doesn't put you off.

Mother in law had knee replaced And dealt with hardware being loose from day one. Had a follow up surgery and he “fixed it” and had the same problem right after the surgery. He said in her follow up appt that it was her muscles that needed to be strengthened. Horse Crap. Got three opinions from orthopedic surgeons and all said he used poor hardware & it needed another surgery to correct the problem. Had a revision & the hardware fell out easily. Knee was done correctly & immediately it’s better

Dr Matthews is the rudest uncaring person I have ever seen. He is so into himself it’s unbelievable i will NEVER step foot in his office let alone have him ever treat me. He is so old he needs to quit practicing he is such a disservice to his patients Stay Away from him BEWARE

DR. ANDRE MATHEWS HAS BEEN MY ORTHOPEDIC DR. SINCE THE 90,S. HE HAS DONE AT LEAST 5 SURGERIES. ON MY BODY. EVERY SUEGERY CAME OUT AS HE TOLD IT WOULD .MOST HONEST FORWARD DR. YET HE MAINTAINS A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH ME . ALSO FROM OTHER PATIENTS ..BECKY POCKL,NP HAS BEEN LEARNING FROM DR ANDRE AND WILL BE THE FUTURE REPLACEMENT UPON DR ANDRE RETIERMENT. SHE WILL BE THE BEST REPLACEMENT . I THANK MY LUCKY STARS THAT BAYWOOD CLINIC FOR BEING IN MY TIMES OF NEED.

I love Dr. Matthews. I recommend him to many people and the ones that do take me up on my recommendation are so thankful. He's a marvelous Dr. and the staff couldn't be better. The entire office is a great place to feel that you are in competent hands.
