Dr. Anat Ben-Shlomo, MD

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Ben-Shlomo, which significantly impacted my perception of Cedars Sinai. She was the first doctor I saw there, and because of our interaction, I avoided Cedars Sinai for the next eight years, fearing that all their doctors shared her approach.During our visit, her tone was unnecessarily harsh. I was headed to work after the appointment, so I wore a dress and zip off boots. She dismissed my health concerns and chastised me for my outfit, saying, 'Don’t you know that you’re supposed to wear a two-piece and shoes you can slip off easily to doctor’s appointments?' This experience left me feeling unsupported and uncomfortable. It had taken considerable effort to make and attend the appointment, and I certainly didn't expect to be treated this way. Thankfully, I've since learned that not all doctors are like her—it's possible to find medical professionals who are both technically competent and have a compassionate bedside manner.

Stay away from this doctor! She does not listen to the patient's needs. Falsely accuses the patient that they are making up their condition. Very untruthful doctor. Has no empathy or bedside manner. Will not admit she misunderstood and falsely documents patients file to make herself look like she was not at fault. Just a horrible overall doctor.

If you're confused about your health and are looking for answers, don't waste your time coming to this doctor. She is so booked that she's happy not spending any effort treating your condition cause frankly she doesn't need you, there's a line of clients she'd rather see than you. She will shrug off your symptoms as if you're perfectly fine although you clearly are not. If you still really want to see her I suggest you save yourself some time and money go get all blood work done prior to coming in and see what she has to say. All she cares about is BLOOD WORK RESULTS and if nothing shows up as "a red flag", then you're a functioning human and can go on with your life regardless of how awful you actually feel. Good luck receiving any proper care from her. My thyroid levels are very low and my life is completely falling apart because of it, yet she doesn't care one bit. All she said she could help with is Spirolactone for my acne. Acne Is the least of my problems when I can barely think.

What I love about Dr. Ben-Shlomo is her sense of humor and quick wit. I was diagnosed with an Endocrine Disorder last year and she thoroughly explained the pros and cons pre-surgery without any pressure. She definitely answered all my questions and concerns. I'm so thankful for her and her team.

Dr. Anat Ben Shlomo is the best doctor that I have ever had. And I have see a lot of doctors over the years. She is thorough, kind and works very hard to see that you get the best care possible. She is extremely knowledgable in her field. I would recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Anat Ben-Shlomo is amazing! She was recommended to me by my endocrinologist and I couldn't be more pleased. I drive two hours each way and she is definitely worth the 4 hours of traffic. She is not only brilliant but compassionate and empathetic. She was able to diagnose my condition with absolute certainty and gave me a plan of treatment. Her explanations of my results were explained thoroughly and simplified for my understanding. I would most definitely recommend Dr. Ben-Shlomo :)!!

I made several unsuccessful attempts at introducing a patient (my son, also a doctor) to Dr. Shlomo for consultation. Shlomo would not allow me to present my case; interrupted continuously ;reminded me that she was a doctor repeatedly at which time I ended the telephone call.
