Dr. Raptis is one of the most respectful and understanding doctors in his field. He has gone above and beyond what most patients would expect when receiving care from their Oncologist. I am pleased with his traditional "old school" form of practicing medicine and am convinced that if anyone can heal me it will be Dr. Raptis.

When I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, my GP referred me to someone he knew socially, Dr. Raptis. As highly educated people, my husband, grown son & I went to Hillman Center for my treatment. Raptis barely deigned to speak to us. When he did, he wouldn't talk to me but would talk to the men, albeit brusquely and rudely. Once, when another doctor in the room began to answer my question, Raptis actually elbowed him, and the good doctor shut up. When I asked about further tests to determine how advanced my cancer was, he said I "look too healthy to be that sick" (i.e., not sick enough to warrant the scans, bone marrow test), despite what my original, diagnosing doctors had said. By the time he finally ordered the tests, I was past Stage III (it was in my bones, too) & I was having trouble moving my neck and arms. During treatment, different nurses kept asking why I didn't have this or that done, & I said my dr. was Raptis, they each rolled their eyes and said "Oh, yeh."

Dr. Raptis has been treating my mom for Multiple Myeloma since December 2018. He knows exactly what he's doing. He is no-nonsense but he is totally on top of her care. She went through a Stem Cell Transplant per his recommendation. His office staff is wonderful, they are available anytime for questions and always call back quickly. We have followed everything he has told us to do, his plan of action with her was fast and swift. We are grateful she is in his care.

He is a terrific doc! Very aggressive in the diagnostic phase, leading to a tailored treatment approach that now, seven years out, has evident success. Was attentive to side effects and other issues, adjusting as necessary. You can't do better. PAs are also helpful, but can be hard to reach them by phone/email.

I am currently looking for a treatment location since i have been diagnosed with recurrent Hodgkin's Lymphoma. My wife and I saw Dr. Raptis because we are considering going to the Hillman Center. My wife and I are both educated people and we found Dr. Raptis to be gruff, boderline rude, and extremely condescending. He also was incapable of LISTENING to us and instead chose to simply spew survival statistics. I spoke to a friend who also saw Dr. Raptis recently and he had the same opinion.
