New Patient
I was recommended to see a rheumatologist by my PCP for swelling and tiredness. I sadly can admit I didn’t know what a rheumatologist did! If the swelling was not as bad I probably would’ve continued treatment with a pain management doctor for my neck & spine conditions. After 10 years, I walked away from that monthly commitment. I am so glad I did! My first appt with Dr.Haija he knew immediately what was wrong. It was too good to be true. I saw him for 2 appointments, then started my infusion, today. WOW! If you are told to see a rheumatologist, I recommend making an appointment. Good Luck

I was disappointed in some of the negative remarks. I had been his patient only recently, and would give him a 4 star for now, until I see improvement. I have not complaints about the way I was treated.

I went to Dr. Haija for sternum pain and a spasm sensation in my chest. He didn't even lay a finger on me. Instead he took me from the examination room into his office and sat me down for a mental health consultation. He also implied that I was shopping around for pain medicine. I told him I didn't even take pain medicine when I had two broken legs. He also had a medical student with him at the time. It turns out my ribs were detached from the cartilage. I was thrilled to hear he left AtlantiCare.

I had a great experience with Dr Anan Haija- found him to be the exact opposite of the previous reviewer, so much so that I felt compelled to leave a review here. I came into the office with a medical problem; the doctor listened intently to my concerns. He examined me and then asked even more questions, and found I had a second medical condition. He ordered extensive thorough testing discussed possible meds and options. Very thorough and his staff was great!!
