My husband and I took our two week old baby for a routine check up. Other than the long wait, everything seem to be going ok. Dr. Levin was nice and she seem to be genuinely concern about my husband and I. However, during her assessment of my son she checked the inside of his mouth— which we didn’t mind. Yet, she did this without washing her hands and wearing gloves. Being first time parents , I was in shock to say the least and lost of words. I froze and was unable to say anything. After leaving her office I cried as I felt I had failed my son by not advocating for him. I was in complete disbelief that the person who was giving us “advise” as to how to keep your baby healthy was the very person who put him at risk. I hope she becomes more mindful and present on what she’s doing. For this reason, we will not be going back to Santa Paula West Clinic.
