Dr. Amynah Kara, MD

I tried telemed via my health insurance for some significant ear, throat and gums pain I was experiencing. I wound up with Dr. Kara. I do not believe she is capable of actively listening. Not only did she recommend a salt gargle for relief from the throat pain I specifically stated was NOT like strep throat but muscle pain, she carried on to recommend I take a medication I am allergic to...a medication I explicitly listed during the appointment making process and I verbally confirmed with her again at the start of the appointment. My visit with her was a waste of time, energy and money. I hung up with her and just went to a Minute Clinic. They immediately prescribed a steroid for my condition that was simply not going to improve without the boost.

Dismissive. Made an error on my Son’s first Rx that caused a two day delay in being able to purchase it. Little to no follow up, even when requested more than once. It took nearly a week to get him the medicine he actually needed, along with multiple trips to the pharmacy, 25 minutes one way. No indication she actually cares about patients at all. Never use her. If it would have allowed it, I would have given her “0” stars.

Do Not use. Do not use for Telehealth. She is a google doctor. Waste of money and time. Copy and pasted OTC meds to my report and did not listen. ALL symptoms are not viral or Covid. Refused to prescribe any medication. Incompetent!

Terrible. Waited 4 hours for a consult and quickly dismissed my symptoms in 3 minutes. I felt like she didn't listen to my concerns and basically told me to continue to do what i was already doing at home. Waste of time.

This was one of the most poor, incompetent and uncaring "Medical Doctor" (Provider) I've every interacted with in all my 42 years. No compassion -- I'm away with family and simply needed a basic maintenance medication refill. She told me to go to the ER. BEWARE!

I can fully attest to the poor reviews. Dr Kara clearly does not care about her patients. I have a very expensive asthma medication and have been trying to communicate with her on options and basically once the appointment is complete there is no way to get in touch with her. MD Live service is just as bad. Service and Care should not even be associated with Dr Kara or MD Live. This is a money making machine and that is all. Honestly I believe this should qualify as a scam warranting investigation.

Absolutely HORRIBLE. I don't think I have ever met a more rude physician in my life. Arogant and unhelpful... she did not listen... no kindness or care.... Sad she spent all that money for med school... who is she helping????

I had a phone consultation with Dr. Kara. She was short with me on the phone, she did not include notes in her post consultation summary, and didn't send my prescription properly to my pharmacy. When I tried to contact her through MDLive, I received a response that she doesn't accept patient messages.

Horrible bedside manner. Came in for a bad cut ending with a severed tendon in my thumb. She didn't listen to any questions or comments, nothing. Just coldly stitched me up and sent me on my way. No meds at all. No antibiotics no pain management of any kind except her recommendation to take aspirin.

She is rude, self centered, and knows nothing. She ordered things that were not necessary and was rude to my family. She needs to stop thinking so much of herself and think of others and stay off her cell phone.
