Dr. Macher at Manatee ER at Bayshore Gardens
I intend to file a formal complaint with the Board of Medicine regarding Dr. Amy Macher's conduct. I plan to exhaust all available channels due to her unprofessional demeanor, which I believe is detrimental to her patients. Recently, I visited the Manatee ER at Bayshore Gardens with my child, who was experiencing influenza symptoms. I informed Dr. Macher that my child had been exposed to children diagnosed with influenza and that my child had previously contracted pneumonia due to influenza a month prior and requested a chest X-ray. However, Dr. Macher stated that his lungs sounded clear and did not indicate the need for a chest X-ray. Notably, this was not the first instance where Dr. Macher had made a similar assessment, only to be incorrect. Her behavior was also consistent with our previous encounter, where she displayed arrogance and rudeness. Dr. Macher's actions seem unjustified and unprofessional, particularly in the context of a healthcare setting and HCA hospitals.

If it wasn't for her I'd still be sick. She's amazing!! Understanding and kind! I have acute gastritis and G.E.R.D.(I feel like I'm burning from the inside out and have uncontrollable vomiting). She set me right and found a way to make me comfortable until I can see my G.I. Doctor Thank you so much Dr. Macher!!!!
