MMD
I visited as a new patient in 2021 for several health issues. I was greeted with a friendly staff, told to be seated, and I waited about 30 minutes each time I visited. Each time, after preliminary testing, I was sent to a waiting room to see the doctor. Each time, I waited at least 2 to 3 hours to see the doctor. I explained to her my reasons why I could not sit in a doctor's office that long. I had anticipated my next visit would be better. Wishful thinking and it did not turn out that way any of the additional appointments I had. When a patient is given an appointment time, isn't it reasonable to think that patient would be seen by the doctor in less than 2 to 3 hours. I returned a couple more times, only to be treated the same way with a long, long wait. I do believe Dr. Bentley tried to address all my health issues, but the long wait times have forced me to research other internists. It is a huge detriment to the patient to be forced to then research and find another doctor for their needs. Dr. Bentley should be sanctioned for the time her patients have to wait on her services. Even when an appointment is easy to make, it is not beneficial to anyone to be forced to sit for 2 or 3 hours for that visit.

Kind and gracious
We were new patients to Dr. Illiscus, but had not yet had an actual appointment. We had an emergency but no appointment. The schedule was full so we waited to be fitted in. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Once we were in a room, the PAs were able to graciously gather information about my husband. When we saw the doctor, she was kind, thorough, answered our questions and had blood work done with results. She had an ultrasound scheduled immediately following our time with her. She called early the next morning with results and a scheduled appointment with a urologist that day. We were grateful and more than satisfied by every aspect of our interaction with the doctor and her staff. We look forward to receiving care from all of them.

I have an appointment for blood work and blood pressure meds. Waited 3 hours, saw 3 different PAs. Waited again in hall for blood work. It was very disappointing. It shouldn’t take hours for a normal appointment

Long waits to see the doctor every visit even with an appointment, the doctor and staff are belligerent. Would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

My mom booked an appointment with Dr. Bentley a few months ago after a fall, and I took her there. We waited about an hour and a half to be seen. Not everyone in the waiting room was wearing a mask. After finally being seen, it took over a week to get lab results despite several phone calls (it should have been 1-2 days). Dr. Bentley said her thyroid was off and also prescribed an iron infusion, but kept failing to complete the referral to the doctor who would do the infusion. After a couple of weeks of mom not feeling great and getting horrible service from Dr. Bentley's staff, mom went to a new doctor who tested her again and didn't see any iron or thyroid problems. A third doctor also found this. It was almost as if Dr. Bentley's staff had mixed up another patient's results with mom's. (Might have been). It was the most astoundingly bad doctor experience I've ever had.

I would recommend not going to get tested for Covid here. I tested positive, as a result I had to get retested twice with Dr. Bentleys office until I had a negative test. The expectations they set for time to get results are unrealistic. When you wait for a Covid result every other person you have been In contact with is waiting on your results too. I would suggest under promising and over delivering on the timeframe to expect results, don't just say 2-3 days so you attract more patients looking for quick results, tell them it could be 5-7 days for results. Also the Doctor calls with results herself and no one from the office but her will release results which causes delays. She is only calling when she finds time during regular business hours in between patients in her office. This seems like a nice touch until you see the statements from the insurance company. She is charging for the test and also you charging $170.00 for full office visit for what is really just a 30 second phone ca

I went for a test after my secretary tested + for COVID. Upon arrival in the lot you’ll see a neon sign with 38 pt font instructing you to wait in your car. After waiting 45 minutes I went inside where six employees where sitting reading their phones. When I asked for help they told me that I have to call for someone to come out. When I said that’s not what the sign says they pointed me to a sign next to the neon sign with fine print that you can’t see unless you get out of your car (contrary to the big sign’s instruction). So I walked outside closed the door and called three times. I literally watched while they ignored my phone calls. So I came back in and they told me if I wait in my car someone will help me. At this point I was losing my temper and took pictures of the signs and staff doing nothing. Then Amy (owner) came out and asked if I called, then told me I am supposed to wait in the car. At that point it escalated into shouting. If these geniuses are our saviors we’re doomed

I've been seeing Dr. Illescas for around 10 yrs. now. She has specialty in several areas that affect me., i.e. Diabetes, Cholesterol/Heart, depression. I drive from N. AL. for a visit every six months. The wait times in the lobby are not long. She does give a thorough exam with a visit with the NP before she comes in for the final assessment. They do blood workups on site so my visits take a little longer, but I don't have to wait for the results and she can adjust my medications accurately during the visit. I find her to be personable and caring, but frank.

I had an appointment with the doctor. Her staff was uninviting and impersonal. There was a ridiculously long wait even after being placed in the exam room. After an hour, I asked one of the staff if perhaps she’d forgotten I was in there. After 45 more minutes, the doctor popped in reprimand me for complaining. Then she walked out and didn’t come back for another 10 minutes or so. I was shocked, and no, I won’t be back again.

I called and scheduled to get in at the earliest appointment to avoid missing time at work. They took 3 walk in before me, and I waited for a couple of hours. This was supposed to be an annual physical, which on my insurance is covered 100%. Here comes the bad part - if you have any health concerns or questions, be prepared to pay! They will turn it from a preventive physical to an "office visit" without warning and then you're out $200. They also charged me extra for being the first appointment? That's their normal business hours! No mention was made of this. I will admit that I requested an X-ray and was fine paying that, but the rest was BS. The doctor herself is nice, but the office ripped us off. When we called to seek clarification on these issues (no luck), they terminated our relationship with them. Seems like they do this a lot.

She was nice, but I was charged for an office visit in addition to my physical exam. I didn't realize you can't ask your doctor questions about your general health, during an exam... and they never disclosed that we would be charged $250 for an office exam if I asked any questions. I have tried getting more information, and have never received a call back. Plus, I was coded for having a chronic issue, and I don't! I'm so disappointed.
