Dr. Amy Heinzen, DO

I was in hospital and she was rounding for my PCP.Her and I did not agree with her plan of treatment.She then said things to me that no Dr should ever say to a patien. I turned her into patient relations and American Medical Association. Dont ever be afraid to voice your opinion.No one knows your body like you do.Shes may have medical degrees but that doesnt mean her word is law.Speak up if you dont agree with things going on. But beware if you do speak up you will see a totally different doctor .And its not a pretty site.Theres thousands of other doctors to try.Speak up for your self its your body and ultimately your life at stake

Unfortunately, while her bedside manner was pleasant, her practice of medicine was dubious at best. She prescribed several medications that were not indicated for a health condition and contraindicated due to baseline vitals, which resulted in adverse effects. It was my pharmacist who helped me and advised against them. Dr. Heinzen also failed to order accurate tests for an autoimmune condition, even after specifically requested due to symptoms and family history. I stayed under her care much longer than I should have.

Dr. Heinzen is the most compassionate, amazing doctor I have ever had. She is the PCP for my whole family, and she is especially amazing with my 9 year old son who is autistic and has adhd. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor who actually listens and cares about her patients. I'm 37 and I have only met 1 other doctor like her in my lifetime. She always asks how my kids are doing, never rushes through appointments, and she listens. My family will be her patients as long as we can.

Dr. Heinzen is a great Doctor. She was very attentive while getting my history. She is caring and very informative. She shows true concern over your health and personal issues that you may have. I love her office staff as well.

Not a bright doctor..terrible bedside ..no personality Tell her problems she ignores it ... Makes false claims

She's an amazing doctor. Spends the time to actually talk to you and make you feel important. It's an extra drive for me to go see her from where I live but totally worth it.
