Dismissive & condescending
I’ve been a long time patient and used to think she was straight forward and througho but not anymore. The last two years she gotten more dismissive and condescending, maybe because now I have healthcare challenges whereas before I was a quick & easy patient. She’s only there to make sure you’ve gotten your vaccines and bloodwork done, anything else go see a specialist because she doesn’t care.

Not my pcp
I recently visited Dr. Bono to establish her as my new primary care physician, and it was one of the most unpleasant experiences I've ever had. She was dismissive and condescending throughout the appointment. Additionally, the office sent referrals to three other doctors who then called me incessantly. My intention was simply to discuss my basic health questions with her, not to embark on a series of specialist visits. Given her poor demeanor, I cannot continue with this practice.

Dr. Bono is a "rock star"physician in my book. A great listener and very easy to talk to about anything. Totally trust her advice. That said, I do not understand these other negative comments.

I find it confusing that the opinions here are so divided. Here's what I do know: I've been her patient for 3 years. I got the feeling during annual appointments that she was in a hurry, but I could deal with that. What I've experienced recently is such a shame, because I really like her nurses. 1) During my last physical, she asked if I needed a non-routine heart procedure. It was quickly followed by "No, you're healthy, right?" 2) I received irregular test results, but was told the test is typically inaccurate (although I still got a bill). She assured me everything was fine. When I followed up, I received a copy/paste message which reiterated "you're fine". The problems persisted so I paid for an email visit which was a waste of $40. I finally ended up getting a second opinion from someone who took time to listen to my concerns, actually check the test under a microscope, and address what was really happening. This review is not just about her bedside manner, it's a health concern.

I have been seeing Dr. Bono every 6 months for a few years. She is very knowledgeable and thorough in her care of me. She always keeps me up-to-date on vaccinations, tests, X-rays, etc. that are recommended or needed for my optimal care. She reviews my medications on every visit and makes changes if needed. Dr. Bono is very approachable and willing to listen to what I have to say. When she refers me to a specialist, she always follows through to make sure I am being properly cared for.

Dr. Bono is the rudest doctor I've ever met in Nashville, TN. Her communication is extremely condescending and I don't know how she has any patients. With all of the great healthcare and doctors available in Nashville, she will soon run everyone off. If I were the Leadership at Heritage Medical, I would encourage her to find another practice to go to. You are better going to the doc at Walgreen's or CVS than this "Doctor". Please do not waste your time, emotion or money on her.

Amy Bono has been my physician since coming to Summit Hospital. I began seeing her initially as I felt women should support each other. Of course, had I not found her to be an excellent physician, I would not have continued to see her. She is thorough in her examinations and care. I trust her to take care of my physical needs. So, a big shoutout to Dr Amy Bono for all the great care she has given me. Alberta Brandon 536 Calibre Lane Mount Juliet, TN 37122

The first issue, her nurse failed to properly provide direction for an expensive test, resulting in failure to obtain results in the test. Of course, I still had to pay for the test. I let that slide, thinking that we all have a bad day. Then her office failed to deliver my test results to another doctor's office, costing me time and money, multiple phone calls and additional time off work that could have been avoided had they taken care of the delivery.

I have hypoglycemia. As anyone with low blood sugar & you would hope your doctor would know it is extremely hard to go a long time with out eating. I was told that 8:45 (which we all know really means 9:00-9:20) was the earliest I could get in. Then I have to go through the physical which can easily take 30+ minutes. Asked if I could have my blood drawn first-they told me absolutely not-I have to go through the physical first & do that last. WHY??? Im leaving-will find a more considerate doctor!
