Dr. Ellis listens to all of my concerns, knows which meds I’m not comfortable taking (addiction runs in the family), and is very careful when prescribing. She explains all the possible side effects, explains how it’ll help and sends it to my pharmacy immediately with my okay. She’s never been condescending or unprofessional in any way. Follow ups are a breeze and she really takes time to make sure I’m doing well under her care.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Ellis for close to a year. I felt an immediate connection with her. She has gotten me on the right combination of medication. If something isn’t right she’s willing to try something else that may work better. She has never been a clock watcher, that I’ve noticed. She helps me set attainable goals. She is responsive to my needs and concerns. It is obvious I’m not just a paycheck, but a person. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Why would a psychiatrist prescribe a medication that has horrible side effects when you try to withdraw from it? When I brought it up I was informed to stay off social media and offered another drug. You cannot stop Cymbalta cold turkey without suffering immensely and simply bridge to another drug. I fired my doctor (Ellis) because I didn't feel like it was my responsibility to educate her. She would spend maybe 20-30 minutes with me, yawn, watch the clock, and talk about herself. Really? Am I a

She is the best Psychiatrist I have ever had, and I haven't been able to find another quality Psychiatrist since she left Colorado. She is kind, attentive, intelligent, and was always able to put a smile back on my face by the end of every appointment. I highly recommend her to anyone lucky enough to be near her in Cali. I miss you Dr. Ellis :(
